Rumbling under the hood is the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with FWD. You can opt for the available i-Activ AWD if you prefer more control over the amount of traction sent to each axle. Generating 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque, this motor is partnered with a 6-speed automatic transmission with a Drive Selection switch and manual-shift mode. You can also expect to get up to 7.1 L/100 km on the highway.
In track tests, the CX-30 was able to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds. It can also hit a top speed of 202 km/h (126 mph).
