Auto Locator, we”/“us”/“our”), is committed to maintain the security, confidentiality and privacy of information collected from clients through or in connection with the website www.autolocator.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use and distribute personal information about users of the Site. By providing Personal Information (as defined in this Privacy Policy), you consent to the use of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.




Types of Information Collected by Auto Locator

Information collected through the Site may be actively collected (including, but not limited to, where you are asked to provide contact information) or passively collected (through the use of cookies, web beacons and other automated means). The information we collect falls into two main categories – Personal Information and Non-Personal Information.


(a) “Personal Information” is information which may identify a specific individual. Your Personal Information is the information you provide to us through this website including, but not limited to, your name, address, date of birth, contact information, credit information, and employment history. We will only collect, use or disclose any Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, or in accordance with the laws applicable to its collection, use and disclosure (“Applicable Privacy Laws”).

(b) “Non-Personal Information” is information of an anonymous nature, such as the domain used to access the Site, and the type and version of browser or operating system being used by visitors to the Site. It includes aggregate information, such as demographic statistics of our users (e.g. average age or geographical allocation of our users), number of visitors, what pages users access or visit, and average time spent on the Site. Business contact information such as the name, title, business address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a business or professional person or an employee of an organization is also considered Non-Personal Information. Non-Personal Information is not subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy but we include information about its collection and use for transparency.
Important Note on Minors: The Site is intended for adult residents of Canada only, and are not targeted to, or intended for, minors. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information, or any information, from or about minors and if we are informed that we have done so, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.

Collection Procedures
 
In most cases, we will only collect the Personal Information you provide to us. But your use of the Site may require the collection of Personal Information from your web browser or from third parties, as explained in this Privacy Policy, if it is implied by your conduct on the Site or if you have expressly agreed to it. (b) Site Collection. When using our Site, we may collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the date and time you access our Site, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our Site, the operating system you are using, the sections of our Site you visit, the Site pages read and images viewed, and the content you download from the Site.

(c) Cookies. We use “cookies”, a technology that installs a small amount of information on a user’s computer to permit the Site to recognize future visits using that computer. Cookies enhance the convenience and use of the Site. For example, the information provided through cookies is used to recognize you as a previous user of the Site, to offer personalized content and information for your use, to track your activity at the Site, to respond to your needs, and to otherwise facilitate your Site experience. You may request access to your Personal Information and information about our collection, use and disclosure of that information by sending your request to our Privacy Officer at the email address noted below. Subject to certain exceptions and limitations prescribed by Applicable Privacy Laws, you will be given reasonable access to your Personal Information, and will be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and to have it amended as appropriate. We will endeavor to deal with all requests for access and modifications in a timely manner. You can help us maintain the accuracy of your Personal Information by notifying us of any changes to it.

Disclosures
 
We will share your Personal Information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy. We will not sell your Personal Information to third parties.
(a) Service Uses. We may provide your Personal Information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as web hosting providers, payment processors, credit reporting agencies, and motor vehicle dealerships. (b) Motor Vehicle Dealerships. We may disclose your Personal Information to other wholesale lead providers or to motor vehicle dealerships in your geographical area who may be able to assist you in purchasing, leasing or financing a new or used vehicle. Only the information necessary to determine whether a motor vehicle dealership or other product or service provider may be able to assist you in purchasing a new or used vehicle or to offer products and services, as contemplated above, will be disclosed. The motor vehicle dealership(s) and/or other persons or organizations that are provided with your information may contact you in the future for further information, subject to their own privacy policies.
