Level 2 - Gunkholing 5 day program out of Sidney - Peak Season

It is all about GUNKHOLING. If you are looking to enjoy cruising this coast and others like it, consider this the pinnacle program for expanding your life afloat.

Explore the intricacies of cruising boat systems, step up your ability to get from one spectacular destination to another - avoiding the pitfalls of hazards along the way. Transform that harbour on the chart to the one you get into and find the best anchoring spot. Hands on cruising under the guidance of a patient and experienced instructor is part of the formula.

Part of actually heading out GUNKHOLING involves getting some well deserved relaxation. Being relaxed aboard depends on being comfortable - this program aims to get you there.

The course starts at 3pm on Sunday, when students will participate in a boat systems check out. The course will return to Sidney by approximately 5pm on Friday.

The material in this program leads to the Canadian Yachting Association\\\\\\\'s Intermediate Cruising Standard (Sail), but our version goes beyond this standard insofar as we\\\\\\\'d like to get you to be a comfortable charter client or boat owner - so we include some \\\\\\\'must do\\\\\\\' topics from our experience in those areas.
