About Dr. Anna Arsenault, ND

“We have the resources and knowledge to make significant changes in our health and quality of life by treating the cause.”
–Dr. Anna Arsenault

A native of British Columbia's West Coast, Dr. Anna Arsenault has roots in Atlantic Canada spanning two generations that date back to the mid 1600's. 'You might say the Nova Scotia is 'in my blood', says Dr. Arsenault.

"I've been visiting my family and relatives here in the Maritimes since I was a very little girl. Later in life to learn that I had strong roots here spanning back to the frontier days of Nova Scotia. It is the natural beauty of the area and warmth of the people that were a big reason for me to establish my Naturopathic career here in HRM."

From BC to Nova Scotia!

Dr. Anna Arsenault was raised in Vancouver and Victoria, BC and has recently moved to the East Coast to begin her practice. A graduate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Arsenault also holds a Medical Sciences Degree (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Arsenault's main focus is to prevent disease by analyzing and treating underlying causes of an ailment rather than a conventional systematic treatment.  By taking the time to complete a thorough health history interview and conduct a physical examination, she is able to individualize treatment for patients and target the cause of an illness.  Dr. Arsenault firmly believes that doctors should act as teachers, and should empower patients with the knowledge to feel better and create their own sustainable and healthy lives.

Dr. Arsenault is delighted to be expanding her practice by joining the team at Sage Elements Naturopathic Clinic on Wednesdays as of March 2013. She will continue to offer naturopathic care at her practice in Dartmouth, NS at Viva Health Centre as well.

Special areas of focus include: preventative health optimization, natural stress and pain management, fertility enhancement, pediatrics, hormone imbalances, asthma, skin conditions, and digestive complaints. Treatments include diet and lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine, acupuncture, nutritional supplementation and injection therapy, detoxification, allergy desensitization, osseous manipulation and homeopathy.

She is a registered member in good standing of the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NSAND), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), and holds a license with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC).

Outside of clinic, Dr. Arsenault enjoys cooking, hiking, reading, and laughing with friends and family.
