It’s always a holiday in Costa Rica. The sugar-soft beaches and lush jungles keep guests happily trapped in summertime bliss.
Throughout the year, however, there are many official holidays and travelers should know when they occur - both to properly plan their vacations and to be respectful toward important cultural events.
When visiting the Los Suenos region keep this calendar in mind.

April 11th: Juan SantamarÃa Day
May 1st: Labor Day
July 25th: Annexation of Guanacaste Day
August 2nd: Virgin of Los Angeles Day
August 15th: Mother’s Day
September 15th: Independence Day
October 12th: Columbus Day
December 25th: Christmas Day
