If there’s one thing for certain: it’s that future generations — as early as our grandchildren, perhaps — are going to be incredulous at the fact that we used to have to drive our own cars. And, while we haven’t quite transitioned into fully autonomous mode just yet, the stepping stones are firmly in place.
For example, the 2018 INFINITI QX30 features an Intelligent Park Assist System that takes all the guesswork out of the job. Utilizing a series of 12 sensors strategically located around the body of the vehicle, the CPU is able to determine if a potential spot is a right size. Once a fit has been identified, this smart ride will take over at the push of a button. With motorist confirmation, it will automatically operate the accelerator, shifter, and brake pedal to maneuver into the pre-determined place.

This advanced function works for both parallel and reverse-in situations. While it’s a standard on the "Sport" model, it’s also available on all other versions of the QX30 as part of the optional “Tech Package.â€
