The 2019Â INFINITI QX60 is a fan-favorite among SUV-buyers for many reasons; not the least of which is what it's packing under the hood. With more than enough power to match its impressive stature (200.6 inches in length, 77.2 inches in width, and 68.6 inches in height), this seven-passenger ride boasts a high-performance engine.
The advanced 3.5-liter V6 is rated at 295 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a double overhead camshaft configuration, this carrier is capable of producing more energy than a SOHC at higher speeds. Where a single formation would facilitate both intake and exhaust, the DOHC provides individual vessels for each function. This enables the motor to operate at a higher capacity.
To further impress, the QX60 utilizes the same Direct Injection Gasoline system as the INFINITI Q60 Sports Coupe. The DIGS provides greater efficiency by releasing fuel straight into the combustion chamber, instead of pre-mixing it with oxygen. From there, it can be more quickly transformed, equating to better wide-open throttle response.
With the ability to earn up to 20 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway (ensuring a combined rating of 22 MPG), this dominant transporter is as economical as it is vigorous.
