Of course, that sort of feeling can’t be established if the automobile doesn’t offer a healthy amount of performance and a sensational level of safety. Thus, with the 2015 QX80, the manufacturer has gone out of its way to focus on both these aspects.


This is a big SUV with an ever bigger growl. The 5.6L V8 is boisterous and throaty with its response the moment you crank it. It delivers supreme power—400 HP at 5,800 revolutions per minute (RPM) and 413-lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 RPM. That’s big-time performance!
Things get even better when you consider the safety part of the equation. The 2015 QX80 makes every effort to keep its seven passengers secure. High-beam assist is joined by predictive forward-collision warning and nicely rounded out by emergency braking. This latter technology is a breakthrough that utilizes sensors to actually apply stopping power automatically whenever it senses that you’re drawing too close to a vehicle traveling ahead of you. The turn signals are LED, too, making it easy for other motorists to see whenever you’re changing lanes.
