These guys don’t communicate with each other.

These guys don’t communicate with each other. We wasted hours at the dealership test driving and getting a contract worked out and at the last minute we were told, “ oh this truck was sold 2 days ago”. We had taken a ferry into the city specifically to purchase this truck. How hard is it for the sales guys to put a sold sign on a vehicle? You would think they would have a bulletin board with inventory sales listed. Unacceptable!

Allow us to introduce you to the 2012 Nissan Leaf SL. This preowned all-electric vehicle promises to put a “plug” in your monthly budget without the need for expensive gasoline, while also delivering sufficient range to get around Seattle.

Unlike hybrid or conventional cars, the 2012 Leaf runs solely on electricity, meaning that you’ll never need to factor in weekly fill-ups again. Instead, this EV runs on an 80-kilowatt electric motor that is powered by a 24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which delivers 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. On a single charge, you’ll be able to cruise 73 miles, which is more than enough clicks to get to class or your weekend job. Does the idea of driving a vehicle with an alternative fuel source pique your interest? If so, a 2018 Nissan Leaf S might just be your next plug-in car. Known as the best-selling EV across the globe, the Leaf is super-efficient and boasts a longer range than previous model year options.

Under its aerodynamic exterior, the 2018 Leaf S is powered by a 40-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, which fuels the motor to create 147 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Combined, this allows the all-electric vehicle to operate a full 150 miles before needing to recharge, which is almost twice the distance as the first-gen model, which was unveiled seven years ago.

When it does come time to recharge, the 2018 Leaf uses a 6.6-kilowatt onboard charger that will have you up and running to 80 percent power in about 40 minutes when using a 50-kw CHAdeMO DC fast charger. However, with a 240-volt Level 2 station, charging time will increase to about 8 hours, which is considered average for the segment.

Curious to see how it handles on Seattle’s city streets? Contact our team at Kirkland Nissan for your test drive in the all-new 2018 Leaf today!
Whether you are driven by eco-friendly ideals or are wanting to slash your monthly gas expenses, a preowned 2013 Nissan Leaf SL can help you achieve both. This plug-in performer runs solely on electricity and produces zero-emissions, making it a sensible choice for cost- and earth-conscious consumers in Seattle.

Under the hood, you won’t find a typical engine in the 2013 Leaf; instead, it is energized by a 24kWh lithium-ion battery pack and an 80kW motor, which delivers 107 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque. Power is directed to the front wheels, which makes handling the Leaf similar to any other front-wheel drive compact car. It’s quick off the line too, boasting a 0-to-60-mph sprint in less than 10 seconds with top speeds maxing out at 90 mph to conserve energy. Charging is managed by the SL’s standard 6.6-kilowatt onboard charger, which reduces the juicing-up time for a fully depleted battery pack to roughly four hours from the base S’s seven to 10 hours. Without any need for traditional fossil fuels, you can kiss your local gas station goodbye.

Cost-savings aside, the Leaf SL also offers immense value with many top-of-the-line standard features. Inside, leather upholstery and a rearview camera are included, as are other conveniences, like Bluetooth connectivity, an intelligent access key fob, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The exterior is appointed with larger 17-inch alloy wheels and a photovoltaic solar panel mounted on the roof spoiler over the tailgate, which reduces unnecessary battery draw to charge small devices.

If you haven’t test driven one, we suggest you check out the SL trim level, which boasts impressive range from its plug-in-powered motor.

Unlike traditional vehicles that utilize expensive gasoline, the 2017 Nissan Leaf SL is electrified by a 30-kWh battery which supplies energy to the 80-kW AC synchronous motor. Together, they generate 107 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque, and can go 107 miles on a single charge. When it comes time to refresh the battery, the Leaf is equipped with a 6.6-kW onboard charger that can renew a fully depleted battery in about four hours from a 240-volt Level 2 charging station.

On the exterior, the SL trim boasts stylish LED headlights, which use little energy for illumination, and an aerodynamic body that reduces drag. Inside, the Leaf comes equipped with leather heated seats throughout, a NissanConnect 7-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth connectivity for your comfort and convenience.
