new nissan leaf dealership in seattle washingtonIf you are seeking a new all-electric vehicle offering the latest styling and increased range, consider a 2018 Nissan Leaf SV as your next car. The Car Connection gave this plug-in performer an overall seven-out-of-10 score, hailing the Leaf for its good looks and economy.

The 2018 Leaf is powered by an upgraded 40-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, which generates the 110-kW AC synchronous electric motor to produce 147 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. With the enhanced power cell, the 2018 model can travel a full 150 miles, which is farther than past variants. Economy is excellent too, ringing in at an EPA energy equivalent rating of 112 MPGe. When it is time to refresh the battery, the standard Quick Charge Port will get you back up to 80 percent capacity in only 40 minutes.

According to The Car Connection, the 2018 Leaf also features a more conventional design that EV shoppers seem to love. The curvaceous shape and bug-eyed front lights of the previous generation are gone, while the body is now accentuated with Nissan’s signature floating roof, chevron-shaped taillights, and a deep V-shaped grille.

Inside, the SV trim delivers all the comfort and convenience features you can’t live without, including adaptive cruise control, navigation, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. There is also a six-speaker audio system for your musical enjoyment, plus a 7.0-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth pairing.
