There is no doubt in my mind that the 2018 Nissan GT-R would satisfy even the biggest adrenaline junkieâ€™s need for speed. There should be a picture of this model when you look up â€˜sports carâ€™ in a dictionary: its performance figures are simply mind-blowing.

At the heart of this beast lies a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6. Nissanâ€™s engineers have managed to squeeze 565 horsepower and 467 lb.-ft of torque out of the standard model.

From a standing start, 60 mph will come up in just 2.7 seconds, thanks to this carâ€™s launch control system. But the fun doesnâ€™t stop there. Keep your foot down and this model will reach a top speed of 196 mph.

Not only does this the GT-R get up to speed remarkably quickly, but it also stops faster than almost any other car available right now. Its Brembo calipers will bring everything to a standstill in just 102 feet from 60 mph.
