Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
We’ve brought you the initial announcement details regarding the VC-Turbo engine—one of Nissan’s forthcoming technologies designed to revolutionize conventional internal combustion motors—and now we want to take a moment to dive deeper into what the upcoming motor will offer.

Slated to appear on a new Infinity QX50 SUV that will first be seen at a November 28th Los Angeles media event, the VC-Turbo utilizes a variable compression ratio system that boosts thermal efficiency of the motor. This will allow future Nissan vehicles, likely including models such as the Murano, to generate more power from a single unit of fuel.

Fresh details on the VC-Turbo reveal that it will utilize fresh software and electronics to achieve its more optimal compression ratios. This solves many of the issues presented by today’s conventional gasoline engines. Specifically, the new motor will replace bigger 3.5-liter models in the Japanese automaker’s lineup, instead existing as an intelligently designed, turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder.

If we’ve piqued your interest with this talk of new technologies set to change the way Seattle drives, feel free to contact us at Kirkland Nissan at any time to discover more details!

After months of anticipation, the time has finally come for the launch of the all-new 2018 Murano. Just last week, Nissan announced pricing for this popular CUV, which is expected to hit our dealership very soon.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the vehicle’s key highlights:

Under the hood
The 2018 Murano runs on its tried and true 3.5-liter V6 (the same engine found on the 2017 model), which outputs 260 horsepower and returns a respectable EPA rating: 21 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. It’s also available in front- and all-wheel drive.

More feature rich
Automatic emergency braking and intelligent forward collision warning are now standard on all trims. Blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert have also been added to the SV trim, while intelligent cruise control now comes standard on the SL.

Interior additions
In the cabin, a new center console makes storage and accessibility even easier. NissanConnect with navigation is controlled by an 8” color display with multi-touch control, while SiriusXM, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard on all trim levels.

Exterior add-ons
New for 2018, the Murano features a motion-activated power liftgate, which is standard on SL and Platinum trims. The Platinum also gained a standard dual panel moonroof, while the SL offers an available moonroof package.

Priced right
The 2018 Nissan Murano starts at $30,550 for the S FWD option and goes up to $43,580 for the top-of-the-line Platinum AWD.
