Seattle’s Northern Neighbors Celebrate Nissan as “Brand of the Year”

Nissan is enjoying a sensational run of success in North America. The future already looks bright with the myriad of self-driving and all-electric technologies on track for 2020 and beyond, but the present is pretty amazing, too. The Japanese automaker’s messaging is resonating with fans everywhere, and accordingly, Canada’s Strategy magazine has honored the company with its “Brand of the Year” award.

The honor from Canada’s national publication examining the marketing community specifically recognizes Nissan’s long-term “Conquer All Conditions” campaign. Debuted in 2014, the adverts highlight the sophisticated power and prowess of the Rogue to handle anything the winter can throw at it.

Specifically, the television spots emphasize the Nissan Rogue’s uncanny ability to navigate potentially treacherous conditions such as icy back roads, slush-filled highways, and mudslides thanks to its myriad of safety and security features. The ads use a cinematic approach to detail the import of the automaker’s sophisticated Active Trace and Ride Controls, Active Engine Braking, Forward Collision Detection and, of course, all-wheel drive.

If you want to hear how the Rogue and other vehicles in the lineup are set to safely guide you around Seattle, call us at Kirkland Nissan today!

It’s a half-ton expectation - with every sales chart dominated by pick-up monsters. These growling V8 platforms crush the competition, leaving a trail of battered transmissions and broken engines in their wake. They seem unstoppable.

They’re not.

Instead Nissan has managed to cut a wide path through the charts, delivering a burst of SUV power. The 2017 Rogue ranks as the country’s top-selling platform!

According to TNH Online, the 2017 Rogue is unstoppable. It reigns in Seattle and beyond, delivering a staggering 30,286 total units in October alone. This allowed it to surpass the competition, with both the Honda HR-V and the Ford F-150 stumbling for the month. More impressive is Nissan’s year-to-year rise, with its crossover success bolstering its overall profits by 58%. No other brand can claim the same.

The Kirkland team isn’t surprised by the Rogue’s popularity. This platform - anchored by a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and promising up to 170 HP - proves ideal for Washington drivers. Its available AWD offers smooth traction on every terrain, while the 1,000-pound towing capacity accommodates every off-road toy. A responsive continuously variable transmission further delights, creating a fluid ride with every X-Tronic shift.

We anticipate that this crossover will continue to dominate the charts for many years to come.

The Midnight Edition variants of select Nissan vehicles has proven immensely popular to aficionados in Seattle as well as nationwide. And now, after selling roughly 50,000 such models in 2017 alone, the Japanese manufacturer announced this week that they’re expanding the lineup for 2018.

Those looking for some serious style will not be displeased. Nissan has revealed that Midnight Edition offerings will now extend to a total of nine 2018 vehicles. These include the Murano, Maxima, Pathfinder, TITAN, TITAN XD, Sentra, Rogue, Frontier, and Altima.

Pricing for each package ranges from just $495 for the Sentra S to only $1,395 for the Pathfinder SL. Full details for each vehicle can be found here, but it’s critical to note that the cost for each represents an average of a 45-percent discount versus buying all the parts and enhancements separately. And boy, is there a lot to love here—common inclusions include stealthy side mirrors, darkened roof rails, gloss black “V-Motion” grilles, incredible 20-inch shadow aluminum alloy wheels, and much more.

If you’re looking to outfit your next ride with a killer looking Midnight Edition package, don’t hesitate to call us at Kirkland Nissan to discuss getting your hands on one!
Great news, Seattle drivers! The new 2018 Rogue is now available for sale at Kirkland Nissan!

This crossover is a great choice for small families and road-tripping adventurers in search of a CUV with a stylish interior and great versatility. It’s also Nissan’s best-selling vehicle of 2017 and that trend is expected to continue into next year.

The 2018 Rogue is offered in three gasoline engine-powered grade levels (S, SV and SL) and in either FWD or AWD. Pricing starts at an affordable MSRP of $24,680 for an S FWD and increases to $32,410 for the Rogue SL AWD.

One of the key enhancements that we’re really excited about is the addition of available ProPILOT Assist technology, which provides supported steering, braking and accelerating during single-lane highway driving. According to Nissan, this is the foundation of fully autonomous vehicles, helping drivers stay centered in the lane, navigate stop-and-go traffic, maintain a set vehicle speed and distance to the vehicle ahead – all with the push of a button.

And if that doesn’t impress you, the Rogue's other enhancements will, like the addition of NissanConnect on all trims, a standard Motion-Activated Liftgate on the SV, and standard Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention, and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection on the SL. Plus, with two new exterior colors – Scarlet Ember and Midnight Pine – it’ll be hard to say no to the all-new 2018 Rogue.
