I live in Ontario and wanted to purchase a Ford transit. There were many challenges in figuring out how we would get the vehicle to the East coast. Jag helped me patiently throughout the whole process. Any time I needed something I was able to text him and he responded as soon as he was able. It was a pleasure dealing with Jag and Key West Ford! Thank you all!

These guys don’t communicate with each other.

These guys don’t communicate with each other. We wasted hours at the dealership test driving and getting a contract worked out and at the last minute we were told, “ oh this truck was sold 2 days ago”. We had taken a ferry into the city specifically to purchase this truck. How hard is it for the sales guys to put a sold sign on a vehicle? You would think they would have a bulletin board with inventory sales listed. Unacceptable!

Michelle Kellough, was extremely helpful navigating through our warranty options, we were presently surprised with what she found for us. Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
nissan concept vehicle news in seattle washingtonNow that’s we’ve explored the IMs’ exterior, it’s time to look inside the interior of Nissan’s latest concept car, which is described as a timeless reflection into futurism and a new way of visualizing how commuters will travel in an autonomously driven world.

According to Nissan, the IMs’ interior draws its inspiration from a modern Japanese home, highlighted by examples of high-level craftsmanship with a high-tech expression. The colors and materials set an intimate mood that can be customized with light, plus the shapes of the instrument panel and door trim use dark fabrics and hues to mimic moonlight and shadow.

When in manual driving mode, the IMs' interior offers a driver-centric cockpit with advanced assistive technologies and multi-level information displays integrated into a simple interface. However, once switched into autonomous driving mode, the steering wheel retracts and the front seats pivot inward to face the innovative rear seating arrangement, characterized by the special "Premier Seat". With this formation, passengers can relax and engage with each other in lasting comfort, while the IMs commands the road.

Nissan’s latest concept car is another fine example of how the automaker is changing the way we integrate technology into our daily lives. To learn more about the IMs' interior and how it relates to our current line-up of vehicles, contact Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington.
With news of Nissan’s IMs concept this week at the 2019 North American International Auto Show, our team at Kirkland Nissan wanted to delve deeper into the exterior looks of the vehicle, which is being categorized as an elevated sports sedan. And to be clear, this is not your granddad’s sedan or your pops’ sports car. The IMs follows an entirely new design language, boasting provocative proportions and unseen aerodynamics.

With sleek, sexy and seamless horizontal and vertical lines, the IMs forgoes a traditional sculpted body in favor of forward A-pillar and extended C-pillar locations, as well as a shape that creates a lower drag coefficient. Various body panels also appoint the concept to provide effective downforce and minimal lift at high speeds, including specially engineered fenders, a front spoiler, rocker panels and a full-length undertray. With a roofline inspired by the shape of the moon, the gold-colored anodized brushed aluminum roof rail accents mimic a ring of light that looks like an eclipse. Riding on aggressive 22-inch wheels and complemented by the IMs grille-less front fascia, the concept also features special headlights that are activated when the vehicle is in autonomous mode.

The IMs is truly unlike anything we’ve ever seen before – futuristic, yet simple; racy, yet pure. To learn more about the concept’s design language and how it relates to today’s Nissan vehicles, contact us in Seattle, Washington, to discuss.
Brace yourself, Seattle – just when you think you’ve seen it all, Nissan blows the cover off its latest concept vehicle that has taken the automotive industry by storm! Unveiled yesterday at the 2019 North American International Auto Show, the Nissan IMs ushers in an entirely new type of vehicle – and perhaps even a segment – that the automaker is calling an elevated sports sedan.

Closer in composition to a sedan than a crossover, the IMs sports a higher cabin height due to the battery’s location under the body of the electric vehicle. With an extended wheelbase, the length of the concept is also stretched and houses a unique “2+1+2" seating architecture, which boasts pivoting front seats and a rear seat that can fit three across, or customized to an indulgent "Premier Seat" when the rear outboard seats are folded.

Offering an autonomous driving mode and a manual driving mode, the IMs is a study of contrast that straddles the worlds of relaxed hands-free operation with exciting high-performance. The advanced powertrain is comprised of dual electric motors (front and rear) and a fast charging 115 kWh battery that generates 483 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, which is enough power to compete with (and surpass) most modern-day sports cars. The concept vehicle can also travel a full 380 miles on a single charge, which is a huge achievement in and of itself, plus it features all-wheel drive for better weight balance, traction and cornering.

Nissan is up to some pretty neat stuff, Kirkland residents. Through using a special tool called the Xenon Weather-Ometer (XWO), the auto manufacturer is able to examine material durability in different climates and situations, including while undergoing sunlight UV exposure tests.

In an effort to determine the effects of solar energy on paint, plastics, and certain interior car materials, the XWO tool utilizes the assistance of a 4,000-watt Xenon bulb that bakes as many as 100 different colored samples at the same time. This bulb mimics the wavelengths of the sun. Further, the samples actually rotate around the Xenon light during testing, mimicking the earth’s orbit. Once finished, the Nissan engineers check the materials at different intervals to detect any changes, thereby helping to ensure quality and durability down the line for auto buyers.

In sum, the brilliance of the XWO tool and the accelerated weather chamber used is that Nissan is capable of accurately recreating real-world, natural conditions in a lab environment. They’re therefore able to ensure their quality standards are truly second-to-none.

Give us a call at Kirkland Nissan today to hear more about the innovative XWO tool!
nissan leaf e+ design news seattle tacoma kirkland washingtonNissan went to great lengths to make the new Leaf e+ the most innovative, powerful and tech-rich all-electric vehicle on mainstream roads today. They also tweaked the award-winning design of the Leaf to be even sleeker and more modern than ever before.

Starting around the front, the e+ boasts a contoured silhouette and eye-catching exterior elements for greater styling and aerodynamic efficiency. The EV's bold fascia features Nissan's signature V-Motion grille with a blue 3D mesh insert for added interest and form. The car's streamlined profile is also sleek and sporty, while around the back the Leaf e+ wears a distinctive taillight design and new badging to highlight the various trim levels.

Inside, the e+’s cabin takes all that’s good from the current model year Leaf and further enhances it with vibrant blue contrast stitching on the steering wheel, seats and instrument panel. The interior remains spacious and well-appointed with premium features for a high-class appeal, but with a tech-focused attitude that’s tastefully futuristic.

The Leaf e+ will be made available in three well-equipped trims (S PLUS, SV PLUS and SL PLUS) later this spring. To learn more about its design and features, contact us at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, for a preliminary spec preview.
news about nissan leaf e+ electric vehicle seattle washingtonIf you are looking for a high-tech and enriched driving experience, the future is almost here, Seattle, with the upcoming release of the Nissan Leaf e+ later this spring. According to the automaker, the e+ will boast an updated interface, larger display and convenient enhancements for even more pleasure behind the wheel.

Starting with the dash, the e+ will be anchored by a larger, thin-film transistor, full-color 8-inch display with swiping, scrolling and tapping commands. Drivers will also have the ability to update apps, maps and firmware in the car with a touch of a button versus having to make an in-dealership appointment. A new feature called Door-to-Door Navigation will also be available on the e+. It will let drivers sync the Leaf's navigation system with their smartphone for seamless directions. When passengers ride in the vehicle, the Connections feature will enable them to quickly and easily connect their devices as well. Lastly, a convenient graphic-based Human Machine Interface complements the NissanConnect smartphone app and allow users to monitor or schedule charging, find the nearest charging station or heat/cool their vehicle from the comfort of their home or office.

nissan leaf e+ news in seattle washingtonFollowing the news of Nissan’s forthcoming Leaf e+ electric vehicle, which will launch later this spring, our team wanted to take the opportunity to share more about the EV’s enhanced driver assist and safety features. If you were hoping to see ProPILOT Assist and e-Pedal on the e+, good news – both are standard equipment, along with other advanced technologies.

ProPILOT Assist is a key player in Nissan’s Intelligent Driving strategy. This system is described as an in-lane semi-autonomous driving technology that can automatically adjust the distance to the vehicle ahead or help keep the Leaf centered in its lane. If the car in front stops, ProPILOT Assist will automatically apply the brakes to bring the vehicle to a halt – it will even keep the vehicle in place if the driver’s foot is off the brake. When traffic restarts, the e+ will resume when the driver touches the steering wheel-mounted ProPILOT Assist switch again or lightly presses the accelerator. The goal of the system is to reduce stress when behind the wheel, especially in high-traffic situations.

Further enhancing the Leaf's on-road experience is e-Pedal, which allows the driver to start, accelerate, decelerate and stop using only the accelerator pedal. With the e+’s additional power and increased mass, Nissan reprogrammed the e-Pedal software for smoother operation and enhanced pedal feedback, which is especially beneficial when maneuvering the vehicle in reverse. Other advanced technologies on the e+ will include Intelligent Lane Intervention, Lane Departure Warning and Intelligent Emergency Braking, as well as Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Intelligent Around View Monitor.

2019 nissan leaf e+ in seattle tacoma bellevue washingtonThis week, Nissan lifted the cover off some huge news. The automaker will be releasing the Leaf e+ later this year and it will sport an all-new electric powertrain with additional range and power.

The name “e+” refers to the EV’s increased energy density from the model's 62 kWh battery pack and the higher output of its powertrain. Combined, the e+ can travel up to 226 miles on a single charge, which is a big increase over the current model’s 150-mile range. Three trims will be made available: S PLUS, SV PLUS and SL PLUS.

The higher capacity battery will also be complemented by a more potent 160 kW motor, which will produce 45 percent more power and 250 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration will be quicker too, jetting from 50 mph to 75 mph nearly 13 percent faster. According to Nissan, top speeds will increase by approximately 10 percent, making way for more comfortable highway cruising. As for charging, it will be managed by a new 70 kW Quick Charge System, which won’t require any additional time over the current model, even with the 55-percent larger battery storage capacity.

U.S. sales of the Leaf e+ are expected to begin in spring 2019. For more information, contact us at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington.
