2019 nissan altima for sale in kirkland tacoma seattle washingtonAccording to a study by QuoteWizard, millennials are bucking the growing trend of SUVs and trucks and opting for the sedan segment. The online insurance comparison website recently dug into their data and found that automotive shoppers ranging from 22- to 37-years-old favor small to mid-size cars due to their affordability and urban-friendly characteristics.

As part of their study, QuoteWizard also compiled the top ten most popular cars driven by millennials. In the second spot was the Nissan Altima, which beat out other platforms, including the Toyota Camry and Ford Focus.

With a base MSRP below $24,000 for the 2019 Nissan Altima 2.5 S, millennials can tap into the on-road dynamics they crave without the burden of steep financing payments. This sedan was also recently redesigned this year to include available features like Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and ProPILOT Assist for a driving experience unlike any other. With a range of trim levels and engine options, sedan shoppers can literally customize the Altima to their liking to suit their budget, driving habits and lifestyle – which millennial doesn’t want that?

used nissan juke dealer in seattle tacoma kent renton washingtonWhile the Nissan Juke is now defunct in North America, it remains a crowd-favorite in other parts of the world. Motor1.com recently shared new spy images of the 2020 model in southern Europe and the second-generation model has garnered a lot of interest due to some notable enhancements.

Sporting what appears to be orange side skirts and slim upper headlights, the 2020 Juke also has a revised side profile with mirrors that have been relocated to a lower position on the door panels from the base of the A-pillars. The wheelbase also looks to be slightly longer than in past generations. Around the back, the crossover’s horizontal taillights are redesigned from the boomerang-styled rear clusters of the outgoing Juke, while the width of the taillight seems to be broadened. There also appears to be a roof-mounted spoiler added to the vehicle, which Motor1.com assumes is an aerodynamic feature.

Does this latest spy spotting of the European Juke make you wistful for a model of your own? While production has ceased in Seattle, there remains a strong market for preowned versions offering crossover shoppers a great deal of choice. To see which used Juke models are currently in our inventory, contact Kirkland Nissan near Issaquah, Washington, to book a test drive today.

2019 nissan leaf for sale in seattle tacoma kirkland newcastle renton waNorth of the border, the Nissan Leaf was recognized for yet another award honoring the world’s best-selling electric vehicle. The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada presented the EV with a 2019 Canadian Green Car of the Year Award at the Vancouver International Auto Show, beating out other popular contenders, including the Honda Clarity and Insight.

Redesigned two years ago, the current generation Leaf offers a
150 mile range from a 40-kWh battery. However, back in January, exciting news was released about the forthcoming Nissan Leaf PLUS, which will be available this year with an upgraded 62-kWh battery pack, delivering an increased range of 226 miles. Even with the PLUS version coming soon, the 150-mile range Leaf was enough to win over the 65 Automobile Journalists Association of Canada judges to determine the Green Car Award winner.

Before long, the Leaf will be running out of space in its trophy case, as the accolades continue to roll in. Most recently, the EV surpassed its 400,000 units sold mark, proving that North America and the world can’t get enough of this zero-emission vehicle.

2018 nissan titan xd platnium reserve for sale renton washingtonNissan’s 2019 Titan XD Pro-4X–the only heavy-duty pickup not made by a Detroit automaker —will come with rear-wheel drive and either a 5.6-liter gasoline V-8 engine or a 5.0-liter Cummins diesel, available in King or Crew Cab models.

The 2019 Platinum Titan XD 4WD diesel version includes premium leather interiors and exterior chrome. Both longer and heavier than previous Titan Crew Cabs, in a recent week-long driving test it it averaged just under 18 mpg (combined city and highway).

G. Chambers Williams III, reviewing the XD, said the Titan’s interior “is designed to feel more like that of a luxury sedan, with very comfortable bucket seats up front, and a quite roomy rear bench seat that genuinely gave three adults plenty of leg, knee and headroom. The roof is so high that you can even wear a cowboy hat.”

He also noted that while the Titan XD won’t have quite the trailer-towing capabilities of other three-quarter-ton diesels, and its increased bulk may pose parking challenges, “this truck was fun to drive, and quite powerful. It can get up to speed and beyond very quickly.”

The Titan features NASA-inspired Zero Gravity ergonomic seats in the front and rear. Can’t wait for it to be available? Hurry in to Kirkland Nissan near Renton, Washington, and take a 2018 Titan XD Platinum Reserve for a test drive!
2017 nissan sentra sr for sale seattle washingtonHave you heard the news? The 2017 Nissan Sentra SR is receiving rave reviews everywhere you turn! A five-seater sedan with combined 27-32 mpg not only “looks really nice on the outside” but the inside is roomy as well, said Mike Black  from Middleboro, MA, who called it the best “newish” car he’d ever bought. In fact, he put a thousand miles on it within the first three weeks of ownership, because  I like to drive again in this. Everything in this car has been a 10/10 so far.” Karen from Rockland described the 2017 Nissan Sentra as “awesome.”

In 206 consumer reviews, 95 percent of drivers recommended the car. It got a solid 4.7 out of 5. It’s not a truck, but here’s what Connie from Eddington, MA, had to say: “Love the ride and handling of this vehicle - it is compact but has a lot of legroom in the back seat, Trunk is very large and the back seats fold down for additional hauling capacity.”

And Dmt from Pueblo, CO said it was the most economical car he’d ever owned. “This car has great amenities, plenty of legroom front and back and very comfortable yet a sporty twist.” But don’t take our word for it. Come out and test drive one of the 2017 Sentras we have at Kirkland Nissan. We’re located near Seattle, Washington.

At the 2019 Geneva Auto Show, Nissan pulled the cover of its latest concept called the IMQ. While this platform will not be sold in the automaker’s line-up of passenger vehicles, its advanced technology and design do signal the direction of Nissan’s next generation of crossovers.

The IMQ concept is based on a multi-motor all-wheel drive setup that relies on e-Power, which is found in select Japanese Nissans, to create 335 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the automaker’s previous concept, the IMx, the IMQ is not purely electric – rather, it features a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine to complement the battery.

On the road, the IMQ incorporates the last innovations of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, which include ProPILOT Assist for semi-autonomous driving and Invisible-to-Visible technology, which uses augmented reality to simulate objects outside of a driver’s field of vision. Inside the cabin, four individual seats accent the interior, as well as a gliding wing instrument panel, a centre console that stretches the length of the IMQ, and a smaller, secondary screen that houses a Virtual Personal Assistant. The concept’s radically sculpted exterior also boasts 22-inch alloy wheels, hinged doors, and a single continuous surface where the body meets the glass and roof.

2019 nissan altima for sale in seattle tacoma washingtonOn the heels of the 2019 Nissan Altima’s redesign, we just received word that the sedan has been named one of Automobile Magazine's 2019 All-Stars at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

Each year, the publication chooses the best new cars on the road; however, they don’t base their results on a complicated points system or evaluate vehicles within segment silos. Rather, winners are selected for their style, class, importance and desirability – simply, the crème-de-la-crème rise to the top and we are thrilled that the Altima is one of them.

Completely re-engineered from the ground up, the 2019 Altima now wears a sleeker appearance and offers drivers a choice of outstanding powertrain options, including the addition of Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive. Automobile Magazine evaluated the sporty SR trim with a
2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine and hailed the sedan for its composed handling, strong performance and attractive design. The editors were also taken by the Altima’s multi-faceted capabilities, which include the ability to produce the torque rating of a larger engine, but with the fuel economy of a four-cylinder. In their review, Automobile Magazine was impressed with the Altima’s confidence-inspiring suspension characteristics as well, which they describe as being above that of class rivals.

2019 nissan leaf for sale in tacoma bellevue edmonds everett washingtonNissan reached an incredible milestone today! The automaker announced that the Leaf all-electric vehicle has surpassed 400,000 sales since its release as a mass-market platform in December 2010. This news makes the Leaf the best-selling electric car of all time across the globe!

Once a vehicle for early adopters, the Nissan Leaf is no longer niche. A growing number of consumers are choosing the car for its sustainability, agile performance and advanced technologies, including ProPILOT Assist. According to Inside EVs, sales of the Leaf have steadily climbed in recent years, jumping from 200,000 models in 2015 to 300,000 models in 2018. Surpassing the 400,000 sales milestone in less than a year solidifies the platform’s role in the global shift towards more sustainable transportation.

And, in terms of sustainability, Nissan estimates that 3.8 million barrels of oil have been saved each year since the Leaf’s release in 2010. In that time, Leaf owners have also driven more than 6 billion miles, which is the equivalent of 248,000 trips around the globe. How’s that for perspective?

Currently, the Leaf is available in more than 50 markets worldwide and will go on sale in six new markets in Latin America and seven in Asia and Oceania this year. If you ask us, it won’t be long before the EV surpasses the half-million sales mark.

To learn more about the Leaf’s successes or to schedule a test drive in a new or
preowned model, contact Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington.
