These guys don’t communicate with each other.

These guys don’t communicate with each other. We wasted hours at the dealership test driving and getting a contract worked out and at the last minute we were told, “ oh this truck was sold 2 days ago”. We had taken a ferry into the city specifically to purchase this truck. How hard is it for the sales guys to put a sold sign on a vehicle? You would think they would have a bulletin board with inventory sales listed. Unacceptable!

Michelle Kellough, was extremely helpful navigating through our warranty options, we were presently surprised with what she found for us. Nissan News
Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
Imagine having the ability to turn your windshield into a portal of a virtual world. Nissan could make that dream a reality with their Invisible-to-Visible concept, which will debut at CES 2019.

Known as I2V, the technology will support drivers by merging information from sensors outside and inside the vehicle with data from the cloud. According to Nissan, this enables the Omni-Sensing system to track the vehicle's surroundings and anticipate what's ahead – even showing objects behind buildings or around a corner. Driver guidance is given in an interactive, human-like way through the use of avatars that appear inside the car. It’s like augmented reality, but on a much larger scale.

I2V has many fun uses, like projecting sunny weather inside the vehicle as dreary weather rages on outside. Drivers can also call on local guides to get information about surrounding areas or utilize the skills of a driving instructor to improve their behind-the-wheel prowess. I2V can warn of potential hazards or traffic jams ahead as well, and provide alternative routes for a better on-road experience.

This technology concept is another fine example of how Nissan Intelligent Mobility is changing the way that cars are powered, driven and integrated into society. To learn more about I2V, contact us in Seattle, Washington, or follow news from CES 2019, which runs from January 8-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Another limited-edition GT-R model is on its way and this time it is in partnership with the renowned Japanese Grand Slam tennis champion, Naomi Osaka, who was also recently named Nissan’s brand ambassador.

The automaker has already started taking orders for the model, which will be available in a choice of three exterior hues (Midnight Opal, Brilliant White Pearl and Meteor Flake Black Pearl) and three interior colourways (tan, cream and red) – all schemes chosen by Osaka herself. On the exterior, the special edition GT-R will boast LED high-mount stop lights on the dry carbon rear spoiler, plus the engine room will be adorned with a special golden model-number plate.

Only 50 units of the collector car will be produced for the Japanese market and the model will have customized specifications that will be derived from the Nissan GT-R Premium grade.

Earlier last year, the racy Nissan Leaf NISMO RC was unveiled at the annual NISMO Festival at the Fuji International Speedway in Japan – and now, North Americans will finally get a taste of the car's glory with its first appearance overseas. Next week, Nissan will have the Leaf NISMO RC on display at CES 2019, along with other all-electric platforms as part of their new vehicle introduction.

The first-generation Leaf NISMO RC was initially released in 2011, but this latest rendition builds upon the vehicle’s electric powertrain to provide even more power and torque. The second-gen model now boasts a motor on both the front and rear axle for all-wheel drive capabilities that create 322 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque. Power is generated from a high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack, which is mounted in the middle of the car. Weighing in at only 2690 lbs, the Leaf NISMO RC sports a multitude of lightweight components and a carbon fiber body for 50 percent faster performance than the previous model. In just 3.4 seconds, this track star can reach speeds of 62 mph, which is incredible.

Only days remain until CES 2019 kicks off in Las Vegas! To follow the excitement, be sure to check back to our blog as more details are revealed.
new nissan rogue for sale in seattle tacoma kirkland washingtonIt was a solid year for the Nissan Rogue in 2018. According to a recent report from the automaker, the crossover was the brand’s top-selling model for the third year in a row with 412,110 sales. That’s an overall increase of two percent, making it the Rogue’s best calendar year ever. What a milestone!

In other Nissan news, the Rogue wasn’t the only vehicle with success on the sales charts. Overall, the automaker’s trucks, SUVs and crossovers set an all-time record in 2018 with 784,807 in total sales, which is a three percent uptick compared to 2017. Sales of the Leaf all-electric vehicle also spiked a wild 31 percent since the prior year, with other models, such as the Frontier and Murano, showing strong gains – seven percent and nine percent, respectively.

2019 nissan kicks for sale in seattle tacoma bellevue washingtonAccording to a recent article from AutoBlog, Nissan will be at the 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon with its second Juke snowmobile conversion – and let us tell you, it’s a sight to behold for winter lovers! Based on a regular-production Juke, which is no longer sold in the U.S. in favor of the new Kicks, the Juke Personalization Adventure concept rides on four tank-like tracks, connecting drivers to on-snow fun.

When engineering this concept car, Nissan designed the Juke with wider fenders by tacking plastic flares onto the wheel arches, which not only looks aggressive, but they keep the tracks neatly tucked under the body. Technical specs haven’t been released yet, but AutoBlog expects that it will run on the Juke’s stock engine and transmission with all-wheel drive.

On the exterior, the Juke Personalization Adventure looks rough and rugged with a two-tone white-and-black paint job, along with green accents on the bumpers, tracks, mirrors and tow hooks. Metal cages protect the headlights, while a roof rack provides extra space to carry anything that might be needed for a day in the snow.

The 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon runs from January 11th to 13th. For more details about the show and the vehicles on display, please visit their website.

Want to turn your Juke into the ultimate winter machine? Contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington! Our models may not come with snow tracks, but we can certainly get you into an all-wheel drive version for on-road fun all year long!
The costs prove ever-soaring - with fuel stations gleefully greeting each weekend with new dollar demands, forcing you to empty your wallet with every spin of the pump. Economy is forgotten; savings are ignored; and frustration becomes your constant companion.

The 2019 Altima Platinum will change this.

According to The Boston Herald, the new Platinum is bringing efficiency to Everett. Purring beneath the hood of this Nissan sedan is a responsive 2.5L four-cylinder engine - which promises 27 MPGs in the city and 37 MPGs on the highway. Direct-injection technology bolsters fuel sequencing, optimizing drop distribution; while continuously variable timing software maintains precise control over the 16 integrated valves, seamlessly improving air intake. An XTronic transmission eliminates costly down-shifting through its crisp automatic design; and Intelligent Cruise Control pairs with a front-wheel-drive to deliver smooth performance.

Through this, the Altima Platinum yields a combined MPG ratio of 31 - ensuring class-leading capability on the highway and at the pump. Don’t fret, though, Everett: this sedan will still provide sport-worthy speed, generating a spirited 188 HP and 180 lb.-ft of torque.

The 2019 Altima is ready to impress. To learn more about this efficient sedan contact our team today!
This is no smooth road. Instead it rocks and rolls - with pot-holes scattered across it, the pavement proving brittle. You wince with the wild miles, feeling every shake of a suspension; and your stomach lurches with each jerky steering motion. Your car isn’t meant for such conditions.

The 2019 Altima SR, however, is.

According to the NY Daily News, the 2019 Altima proves ready for even the roughest commutes - delivering Active Ride Control to Kirkland. This exclusive Nissan technology enables drivers to more effectively navigate each mile, automatically compensating for sudden pitch changes. Body-mounted sensors assess the car’s trajectory, identifying roll-rates and fore-aft motions. Torque application is also carefully monitored; and, should a sudden increase in performance metrics occur, the system will engage: activating the dampers and enhancing overall ABS pressure.

Through this simultaneous suspension adjustment, the Active Ride Control system promotes refined handling. It decreases vehicle pitch, stabilizing each rev; and it subtly shifts power between the wheels, assuring a smooth distribution of traction. This greatly reduces the effects of fickle terrain and allows the Altima to glide across the pavement, unhindered by even the worst pot-holes.

Active Ride Control proves essential for those facing frantic commutes. To learn more about this system - or to schedule a test-drive in the 2019 Altima SR - contact our team today.
nissan leaf for sale in seattle kirkland tacoma washingtonAccording to recent news from the Nissan Motor Corporation, the automaker recently flipped the switch on a commercial rooftop solar system at one of its plants in Amsterdam.

The 9,000-panel system is expected to produce enough renewable electricity to power up to 900 households a year. It will also significantly reduce the Motor Parts Center’s CO2 output (up to 1.17 million kilograms of CO2 per annum) and produce almost 70 percent of the plant’s annual energy demand. A portion of the electricity generated will also feed directly into the country’s national grid.

In the press release, Francisco Carranza, Managing Director at Nissan Energy, said that the brand’s investment in new energy solutions is a cornerstone of Nissan Intelligent Mobility. According to Carranza, the solar project is also a clear demonstration of how the company strives to transform the way the global community drives, but also lives.

This latest project follows another Nissan renewable project that saw the creation of a three-megawatt storage system using second-life and new electric vehicle batteries, like those found in the Leaf. It went live this past summer in the Johan Cruijff Arena, which is the Netherlands’ largest stadium. You can read about the project here.

With CES 2019 kicking off on January 8, 2019, in Las Vegas, automotive watchers are starting to chatter about what consumer technologies and innovations will be unveiled at the show. Nissan is playing into the buzz with their latest “See the Invisible” campaign. According to a press release, the automaker is planning a display that demonstrates the future of driving and the electrifying potential of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, which is the company's vision for moving people to a better world.

CES will also see the US debut of Nissan's Leaf Nismo RC race car concept. Based on the second-generation of the EV, the Nismo RC has an electric motor on each axle, providing a powerful 322 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque. Due to its lighter chassis made from carbon fiber, the Leaf can hit speeds of 62 mph in only 3.4 seconds. Incredible!

Industry insiders are also speculating that Nissan will debut a new vehicle introduction at CES 2019, which some are saying will be the longer-range variant of the Nissan Leaf. The automaker hasn’t confirmed this report, but it is believed that the EV will be powered by a bigger, more powerful 60-kWh battery, which will extend the Leaf’s range from 150 miles to somewhere in the 200-mile range.

Our team at Kirkland Nissan will be following news from CES 2019 very closely. Be sure to check back to our blog for future updates!
