Simplified side engine design
Unlike the engine configurations used on most ag telehandlers, LM5000 engines are mounted lengthwise, resulting in a variety of benefits for you. The driveline is simplified since a 90-degree power transfer is not needed. This design also permits greater cooling capacity and unmatched access for routine maintenance.

New Holland LM5000 Series telehandlers are the most effective way to scoop, stack, load and dig. A lift capacity up to 8,800 pounds and a lift height up to 31.5 feet allow you to do things that skid steer loaders, tractors and fork lifts can’t:
• stack large bales six to eight levels high
• scoop a bucket of silage from the very top of a bunker silo
• extend a load of feed over a corral to a feeder that’s over 12 feet inside the fence
• completely load and unload a semi trailer of large square bales from one side

Larger, more comfortable cab
The quiet, rounded LM5000 cab is very spacious. In fact, it’s the roomiest cab in this power class. In addition to expansive visibility, this modern cab makes you comfortable with its deluxe cloth suspension seat and ergonomically designed controls. High air-flow air conditioning and heater are standard equipment to keep the temperature comfortable while keeping dust out. The cab is mounted on isolation blocks, which—when combined with the three-point engine and transmission vibration damping system—makes for a quiet and vibration-free working environment.
 
Easy-to-use controls
All models are fitted with a light and easy-to-operate multi-function joystick that is integrated into the armrest. The controls and armrest move with you when you adjust the seat. You comfortably control the main raise/lower and tilt/crowd functions and use your thumb to control the proportional extend and retract control.
Gauges are located to the side, where they are easy to read and allow for improved view to attachments.

Proven power and reliability Product quality and dependability are built into LM5000 Series telehandlers. The high-performance engines have proven themselves in tough ag applications in successful New Holland tractors. The hydraulic system is built around a reduced pressure, high flow concept that reduces operating temperatures. The strong boom and corner-to corner wheelbase chassis have been subjected to pre-production stress analysis and extensive operational and end-user testing.
 
Proven 120-horsepower engine
All three LM5000 telehandler models feature the turbocharged, intercooled, New Holland 4.5-liter NEF engine that is Tier III emissions certified. Cooling capacity has been increased significantly. The engine hood vent system draws in cool air and efficiently expels hot air to maintain cooling capacity from dawn to dusk. The oversized radiator is located at the rear of the engine area —unlike most competitive models—where it will stay cleaner in dirty operating conditions. An automatic reversing fan is available for operation in extremely dirty conditions.
 
Biodiesel approved
LM5000 Series engines are approved for use with biodiesel blends up to B100, allowing you to use cleaner-burning, farmer-grown fuel alternatives.


Reliable components and superior design
Cool running hydraulics
New Holland has completely redesigned the hydraulic system to increase power and reduce operating temperatures. Larger rams are fitted to exploit the higher oil flow, with more power available to lift and extend the telescopic boom. All models include load sensing and flow, sharing proportional functionality from a single joystick.

Strong boom design
The new heavy-duty boom design includes a welded square cross section for optimum boom strength and an increased boom overlap compared to previous models. In addition, wear pads are located at corners for maximum support and reinforcements have been strategically placed to increase durability.
 
Powershift transmission
You enjoy smooth control and clutch-free, on-the-go shifting with the New Holland 4 x 3 powershift transmission. Simply twist the transmission control lever to make gear changes on the go.
 
Plenty of traction
Full-time four-wheel drive, four large tires and a limited slip differential mean you can work in muddy or slippery conditions and still have plenty of traction to push, dig, scrape and level.
 
Three steering modes
You can achieve the maneuverability you need for each job with the choice of three steering modes:
Front-wheel steer gives you maximum control at transport speeds and for attachment hook-up.
Four-wheel “circle” steer provides a tight turning radius for optimum maneuverability in confined spaces.

New Holland uses an industry-exclusive, patented transfer gearbox to deliver straight power flow without chains or belts. Reliable 120-horsepower engines respond with 32 percent torque rise and 385 ft. lbs. of torque @ 1400 rpm. Two premium tire choices are available to match your operating conditions: Michelin XMCL R-4 460/70 x 24 ag/utility radials for the best traction in general farm work due to its self-cleaning characteristics or Michelin XTLA L-2 15.5R x 25 industrial radials, which are ideally suited for heavy-duty applications on hard surfaces like asphalt, concrete or gravel.
 
Turned loose with the right attachments, LM5000 telehandlers take care of all sorts of big jobs quickly. In addition to the long list of available attachments, an adapter plate is available to mount skid steer LoadStar attachments. Boom auxiliary hydraulics are standard equipment, making your LM5000 telehandler even more versatile as a multi-tool carrier. So, the question of, “What would I do with a LM5000 telehandler” very quickly changes to “What would I do without one?”

One productive machine for so many jobs
Secondary boom hydraulics turn your telehandler into a multi-tool carrier. An optional continuous flow feature allows the auxiliary circuit to operate attachments with hydraulic motors, like silage defacers, rotary brooms and augers. Self-leveling of attachments is standard on every LM5000 model. A hydraulic compensation cylinder automatically maintains a constant front-to-back “roll” position of load or attachment. Frame leveling is an exclusive feature of the LM5080. A toggle switch on the control panel allows you to adjust leveling cylinders up to 8 degrees to either side. A frame level indicator on the dash helps you to level the load.
