No longer dread rough roads. The new F-150 Lightning will deliver a superior all-terrain experience - with an independent suspension anchoring its rear. This system, which is the first of its kind for the F-Series line, will help to minimize friction and maximize performance; and this will create a refined ride in Alberta.


According to Car Scoops, the 2022 F-150 Lightning will boast the F-Series’ first independent suspension. Forgoing traditional leaf springs, this system will instead pair progressive rate coil-overs with a semi-trailing arm configuration. This will ensure smooth movement, with a stabilizer bar further improving articulation and creating a balanced ride on sharp curves. An integrated load-levelling function will enhance control, enabling the truck to better adapt to heavy hauls; while the removal of the market's typical cumbersome underpinnings will allow for superior electric motor placement. 

The introduction of an independent rear suspension will redefine the F-150 - affording precise handling and seamless control. No terrain will prove too wild for this electric model to tame.
