Ford Super Duty® customers aren’t interested in average or mediocre anything. They are looking for the best, the biggest, the toughest and the hardest working. That’s what the Ford engineering team bore in mind as it went to work searching for improvements and upgrades to offer on the 2015 model line of the brawny, heavy-duty truck. The results? The 2015 Super Duty is a class leader and a testament to Ford innovation, leaving competitors in the dust when it comes to horsepower, torque and towing capacity. Not to mention great drivability, advanced technology and a broad range of comfort and appearance choices.
One of the key elements of the 2015 Super Duty is the available 6.7-liter Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8, the second generation of the popular engine. A new, larger turbocharger allows for more power. This improvement and other innovations resulted in the Power Stroke engine being rated at a class-leading* maximum output of 440 horsepower and 860 lb.-ft. of torque, up from 400 horsepower and 800 lb.-ft. of torque, across all Super Duty models, from F-250 to F-450.

The F-450 tops the F-Series Super Duty pickup truck lineup, with maximum towing capacity increasing to a class-leading 31,200 pounds, a gain of 6,500 pounds. The truck’s gross combined weight rating increases to a class-leading 40,000 pounds, a gain of 7,000 pounds.
Other notables: The F-350 is available with a high-capacity towing package that includes new front springs and a wide-track axle, increasing the gross combined weight rating with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke engine from 30,500 pounds to 35,000 pounds. It has a maximum towing capacity of 26,700 pounds. And the F-450 can handle the increased tow rating, thanks to commercial-grade 19.5-inch wheels and tires, and upgraded rear U-joints and suspension components, including new rear leaf springs, and front and rear stabilizer bars and shocks. The steering system has stronger gears and linkages, and the fifth-wheel/gooseneck has an increased towing capacity. There are also larger brakes with a new anti-lock calibration for enhanced performance.
Tell us what you think! A class leader or leader of the pack? We think that with the new Ford Super Duty, that answer is one and the same: Yes!
