They turn on and off without any input from the driver, proving a vital component to any late-night adventure.

This system relies on photoelectric sensors mounted under or above the windshield. These detectors measure illumination much like a photographer's light meter and, if needed, tell the onboard computer to engage the headlamps. This affords superior visibility in low-level environments (such as when driving through fog) or at night.

Additionally: while the sensitivity of the system gets set by the manufacturer, you can override it. This could be necessary if the sensors do not respond to precipitation, for example, or if they get fooled by artificial lights.

Automatic headlights are an invaluable tool that helps operators ensure they always have the correct illumination. Some systems also come with a self-levelling feature, which detects oncoming vehicles at night and switches off the high beams to avoid blinding other drivers - a crucial function when passing on narrow streets with low side-to-side visibility.

To see automatic headlamps on vehicles - such as the 2021 Chrysler 300 - contact our Calgary dealership today; and don't forget to ask about our available financing options as well.

Why RAM's Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Is Useful for Calgary Drivers

This proves essential when traveling down the Alberta backroads - because this issue could lead to longer braking times, poor fuel economy, and lagging power. Overall performance could become severely compromised.

The TPMS alert is typically a yellow indicator on your dashboard that looks like a horseshoe with an exclamation mark in the middle. Its distinctive design is meant to be quickly recognizable, affording drivers improved reaction times.

There are two types of TPMS: direct and indirect.

Direct TPMS

Direct TPMS uses a sensor on the wheel to monitor tire pressure. It relays the information to a central control module, and it usually sends an alert if the reading is below 75% of the manufacturer’s recommended level.

Indirect TPMS

Indirect TPMS uses wheel speed sensors in the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). When a tire is under-inflated, it tends to rotate faster than the others. If the central module detects this, it triggers the alert and allows drivers to plan their best respond strategies.

To learn more about this critical safety system and to check the availability of RAM trucks, contact our Calgary dealership today.

How Does the Chrysler Pacifica's Active Noise Cancellation Work in Calgary?

<a href="https://renfrewchrysler.com/inventory#/?&orderBy=5&asc=1&t=0&filter=[New%2CChrysler%2CPacifica%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C]"><img src="/images/upload/May_2021/2021_chrysler_pacifica_noise_cancellation.jpg"alt="Passenger-side view of wheel, seat, and dashboard of 2021 Chrysler Pacifica"/></a>A quiet cabin can bring luxury ambiance to any vehicle - helping to create a respite from the world outside and allow families to enjoy even the longest commutes. This is why some autos, such as the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica, use active noise cancellation (ANC) to create an exceptionally peaceful interior for passengers.

ANC in a minivan works as it does in noise-cancelling headphones. Sensors in the vehicle detect exterior sounds (such as road vibrations) and funnels them into a digital signal processor (DSP). It creates an inverse of each sonic wave and sends it out through the stereo speakers.

ANC is not the only way to dampen noise in vehicles, however. Another method is to use acoustic glass for the windshield and side windows. Both these features are also available in the new Chrysler Pacifica, and they assure a more refined ride.

This double-layer glass surrounds a sheet of transparent vinyl, which acts as a sound-proof barrier. Some vehicles also use the same material as a laminate on the outside of the windows to help reduce road noise and improve the cabin experience.

To see these features for yourself - or to schedule a test-drive in the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica - contact our Calgary dealership today.

Do Calgary Drivers Need a Hardtop for their Jeep Wrangler or Other Convertible?

In Calgary's four-season climate, the latter may seem to be a better option - allowing you to better adapt to the constant shift of sleet, slush, and showers.

Still not sure whether a hardtop is the right option for you and your Jeep? Let's take a look at the pros and cons.

Jeep Wrangler Hardtop: Pros

1. Hardtops offer better noise control so, if you value a quiet ride, they are the obvious choice.

2. Due to its superior insulation, this option is better able to handle winter weather.

3. Hardtops are also easier to clean, and they do not require any special washing solutions.

Jeep Wrangler Hardtop: Cons

1. Hardtops take longer to remove and reinstall.

2. They do not have the classic "convertible" look.

3. They take more space to store, which means you will be getting less cargo room than with a soft-top.

There are distinctive advantages to the hardtop choice - though, drivers may be quick to note the potential problems. If you would like to this option in action, contact our Calgary dealership today. We will happily schedule a demonstration on a new Jeep Wrangler.

The Benefits of the Chrysler Pacifica's Tri-Zone Climate Control for Calgary Drivers

They ensure that all passengers achieve the comfort they need - and they can instantly settle squabbles over that elusive perfect temperature. Travel in comfort, Alberta.

A three-sector climate control system allows the driver, passenger, and rear-seat riders to create their own bubbles, independent of the others in the van. Each row is customized to specific needs.

With automatic systems, like the one on the new Pacifica Touring, you can set the temperature, and the vehicle will keep it at that level until you change it. Some cars, however, require you to make adjustments manually.

It is important to make a distinction between tri-zone climate controls and rear vents. Many mini-vans and SUVs have back-row heat and air-conditioning outlets behind the centre console. In single or dual-sector cars, these do not have separate settings, so they release air at the same temperature and speed as the front.

To learn more about the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica's tri-zone climate controls, contact our Calgary dealership today - and don't hesitate to schedule a test-drive in one of our available models or request additional spec information about this model's many comfort features.

What Are the Advantages of Jeep's Ventilated Seats in Calgary, AB?

<a href="https://renfrewchrysler.com/inventory#/?&orderBy=5&asc=1&t=0&filter=[New%2CJeep%2CGrand%20Cherokee%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C80th%20Anniversary%20Edition%2C]"><img src="/images/upload/April-2021/grand_cherokee_vent_seats.png"alt="Close-up of 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee's leather ventilated seat"/></a>The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is an example of a high-end trim that has ventilated seats. This feature is also common on luxury vehicles, and it usually comes standard for the front row, though some cars offer it in the rear seats for outboard passengers, as well.

Ventilation features typically rely on small fans or blowers that draw chilled air from the cabin and circulate it through the cushion. The surface of the chair is porous, allowing the cooling flow to directly contact the driver and passenger. You can easily control the temperature with a dial on the dash or centre console.

This feature can be especially useful on long trips, and it proves invaluable when you park outdoors in the warm sunshine. Without this element, the solar heat gain would make sitting almost unbearable. Ventilated seats can also reduce sweating and dry any moisture between the body and the seat, which is especially helpful to have during hot Alberta summers.

Most vehicles that offer this cooling feature, including the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, have both heating and ventilation units for year-round comfort. If you would like to try one for yourself, contact our Calgary dealership today to schedule a test drive.
2021 chrysler 300 for sale in calgary ab4x4 vehicles are a necessity for many motorists in Calgary. Whether traveling during winter or off the pavement, AWD can provide the right amount of grip and traction. When conditions are good, however, front or rear-wheel drive is sufficient.

Some AWD cars and trucks have a transfer case that disconnects the front or rear axle when 4x4 mode is unnecessary. These autos either allow the driver to switch manually or change automatically if the vehicle's sensors detect stable surface conditions.

For example, the AWD Chrysler 300 disconnects the front axle so that drivers can enjoy performance-oriented RWD if they choose. The Jeep Cherokee, on the other hand, disengages the rear wheels to offer FWD.

In addition to giving drivers more options, these systems help increase fuel efficiency. For instance, the Chrysler 300's V6 gets a class-leading 7.8 L/100 km on the highway when it's in RWD mode.

To learn more about the available AWD systems near you, contact our Calgary dealership today.
