While off-roading may prove difficult for other vehicles out there, the new 2021 Ram 1500 can conquer the toughest paths with the help of the Active-Level Four-Corner Air Suspension System.
Â
This class-exclusive feature comes with five settings.
Â
First is Normal. This mode provides the most comfortable balance for city driving.
Â
Next is Aero. This one automatically lowers the vehicle at high speeds to reduce the amount of drag and body roll. The result is improved aerodynamics and fuel-efficiency.
Â
Then, there is Entry/Exit. Also lowering the 1500, it makes it easier to hook up trailers and load cargo into the bed.
Â
Off-Road 1 raises the ground clearance by 30mm in the front and 22mm in the back.
Â
Finally, Off-Road 2 is reserved for severe rock crawling. It lifts the pickup by an extra 55mm, which helps with the approach, departure, and breakover angles.
