Although the new 2021 Ram 2500 Big Horn is available with two powertrain options, the most popular is the standard unit.
Â
Growling under the hood, you will find a robust 6.4-litre HEMI V8 motor that uses variable valve timing and a multi-displacement system to produce 410 hp (best-in-class) and 429 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission and your choice of RWD or 4WD, this beast can tow up to 7,956 kg (17,540 lbs) without breaking a sweat. This is with the proper equipment like a fifth-wheel or gooseneck attachment.
Â
The maximum payload that the Ram 2500 can handle is around 1,818 kg (4,010 lbs). In other words, you can do just about anything with this heavy-duty pickup.
