If you are looking for a heavy-duty pickup, then the 2021 Ram 3500 is your best bet. Depending on the kind of performance you need, there are three separate powertrains to choose from. Each one can be fitted with RWD or 4WD.

First is the standard 6.4-litre HEMI V8. Equipped with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a Multi-Displacement System (MDS), it pumps out 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. Partnered with an 8-speed automatic, it can handle a payload of 3,483 kg (7680 lbs). It can also tow up to 8,259 kg (18,210 lbs) with the correct gear.

Next is the 6.7-litre Cummins Turbo Diesel Inline-6. Using a 6-speed, it delivers 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque. The bed can manage cargo weighing 3,102 kg (6,840 lbs), and the Fifth-Wheel/Gooseneck hook-up can pull 10,282 kg (22,670 lbs).

The same Cummins engine can also be installed as a High-Output unit. Producing 420 hp and an astonishing 1,075 lb-ft of torque, its limits are 2,980 kg (6,570 lb) and 16,828 kg (37,100 lbs) respectively.
