As a ground-breaking truck in the auto industry, there is nothing average about the new 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. This pickup offers only the best to Alberta drivers, and that includes engine options.
Â
The first is a 3.6-litre V6 crafted by Pentastar. This best-selling motor can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. Pushing out 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, it uses Variable Valve Timing technology for an optimized performance.
Â
The other choice is perfect for people who prefer an alternative to conventional gasoline. It’s the 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 mated with the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. Generating 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, it is ideal for people who like to travel off the beaten path.
Â
Both units come with the Rock-Track heavy-duty part-time 4x4 system with 4:1 low range. This enables you to traverse over jagged terrain with no problem. Paired with a set of Dana wide axles in the front (M210) and back (M220), you can climb over just about anything. Each version can also tow up to 2,041 kg (4,500 lbs) without breaking a sweat.
