Enrich yourselves as you tour around the community of Kitwanga in Northern BC behind the wheel of a 2021 Coachmen Sportscoach SRS from Vernon Recreational Products. Now a National Historic Site, the village of Kitwanga is located where the Yellowhead Highway meets the Stewart-Cassiar Highway, just west of Hazelton.
Two centuries ago, the grass-covered hill at Kitwanga saw fierce First Nation tribal battles, which led to the destruction of the Gitwangak fort and cedar dwellings that belonged to the Gitksan people. Today, numerous cultural centres and museums – all within proximity – preserve Gitxsan history. The area is also the Totem Pole capital of the world and offers self-guided tours through Kispiox, Gitanyow, Gitwangak and Kitseguecia. Here you'll see 50 standing totem poles located in eight scenic villages.
After a long day of exploring, the 2021 Coachmen Sportscoach SRS is the perfect place to relax with its attractive interior design and amenities. Ideal for empty nesters and a few grandkids, this Class A motorhome features a king-size bed, a drop-down overhead bunk and a booth area with extra sleeping space. You can also create home-cooked meals in the kitchen with a stainless-steel residential refrigerator, a large pantry with slide-out drawers and a farmhouse sink.Â
