2021 Expedition Keeps You In Line on BC’s Highways

Sometimes when you’re distracted on a busy BC highway, you might end up drifting; and this is why the 2021 Ford Expedition XLT has a standard Lane-Keeping System. This function works by using a camera installed behind the rearview mirror – which activates at speeds above 40 mph (64 km/h) – to detect road markings on either side of your SUV to determine where you are.

There are three modes of operation for this system: in Lane-Keeping Alert, warnings are sent via steering wheel vibrations; while the Aid setting applies torque to automatically help guide you back to the centre line (with rumbling notifications available as well). And, if you repeatedly drift, you’ll get a “take a break” notice, which shows up as a cup of coffee icon on your dash to indicate it’s time to pull off the road for a while.
