The 2022 Jeep Cherokee from St. Paul Dodge and the 2022 Honda CR-V deliver comfort and style to the compact SUV segment. However, while both models are suitable for families, singles and couples alike, only one has the 4x4 capability that Alberta drivers crave.
All trims of the 2022 Cherokee come equipped with a Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, which delivers five customizable settings (Auto, Snow, Sport, Sand, and Mud modes) that intensify the SUV's 4WD performance. In addition, the system modifies the steering, suspension, throttle response and gearbox shift characteristics of the Jeep to fit driving conditions and road surfaces. On the other hand, the CR-V only offers Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control, which does not include specific drive modes for catered performance.
The 2022 Cherokee also comes standard with 4x4 capabilities on all trims, including the base Sport. With Jeep Active Drive I, the SUV ensures seamless operation in and out of 4WD at any speed. Additionally, the system includes brake-traction control to maintain balanced torque distribution for all-weather capability. Conversely, Real-Time AWD with Intelligent Control is only available on the 2022 CR-V.
