Wedding season is upon us, which means that suppliers and small business owners are overrun with deliveries each weekend. There are flowers to get to the chapel, elaborate cakes to transport through gruelling traffic, and linens, chairs and DJ equipment to unload in tight curbside parking spots.Â
Â
You need a commercial vehicle that can keep up with your hectic schedule, but one that’s large enough to hold your wares and nimble enough to handle urban driving. That compact cargo is the 2016 Nissan NV200 S.Â
Â
Unlike larger full-size vans, this workhorse is built on a car-based frame, which has been designed with everyday practicality in mind. The NV200 is agile and fuel-efficient in town, and more suitable on the highway than traditional cargo vans. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 131 horses and 139 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive, the 2016 NV200 nets 24 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is sure to minimize frequent gas station visits.
Â
Inside, the cargo van is long enough to fit a 6-foot ladder, wide enough to hold a standard 48-inch pallet, and almost 4.5 feet tall. When fully loaded, it can accommodate 122.7 cubic feet of cargo with a maximum payload of 1,480 pounds. Integrated mounting points are included to keep your items secure and additional shelves and racks can be installed without having to drill into the van’s walls.
