One of the biggest deterrents that potential buyers say stops them from purchasing an electric car is the battery. Most people get nervous about finding a place to replenish the energy stores and end up talking themselves out of getting one. No one wants to be stranded!
Nissan has teamed up with EVgo to create an east coast fast-charging route along the I-95. This arc will allow drivers to travel between Washington D.C. and Boston. Nine stations will be set up along the way with 52 ports for plugging in.
If you’ve got a Nissan Leaf, the perks don’t end here! The "No Charge to Charge" program will give owners of this innovative hatchback 30 minutes of complimentary time for two years after their original purchase date.
The 2018 Leaf SV comes with an onboard cable that is specifically designed to get the battery up to 80% in just half an hour. With a driving range of 151 miles, you won’t have to worry too much about running out of juice. This is just one more step in the direction of electrifying America by making eco-friendly vehicles more accessible.

Earlier this week, Nissan announced that the Frontier pickup model line will continue for at least one more year. This fabulous vehicle, which has been on the market for 14 years already, will remain for sale. There will be some changes for the 2019 model, but you can expect the same amazing power and great features that you’ve grown accustomed to in previous versions of the truck.
The Frontier has a rather interesting history. In production since October of 2004, this pickup was actually succeeded in some markets (not in the United States) by a newer generation in 2014. This version is what the Mercedes X-Class truck is based on.
Nissan has borrowed the Frontier’s technology from other models, too. The truck’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine was launched in 2002 on the Altima. It’s still being used in 2018 for that sedan, even though it has undergone three redesigns since.
In 2009, the Frontier did have a bit of a facelift, but there hasn’t been much work needed. Stop by and test drive this 2018 model the next time you’re at Kirkland Nissan in the Lynnwood, Washington, area. You’ll appreciate amenities like an infotainment system edged in silver with an AM/FM stereo, a CD and mp3 player, and Bluetooth connectivity. What’s not to love?

The Nissan manufacturing plant in Smyrna, Tennessee has been steadily producing vehicles for the Japanese automaker for the last 35 years. Since 1992, this factory has built over 4.6 million mid-size sedans and has recently been retooled to create the second-generation Leaf.
The company is now investing $170 million to bring new upgrades for the construction of the upcoming 2019 Altima. These funds will cover the costs of a new laser brazing system that will be used to weld the trunks and a color shop update that will include polyurethane stone guard coat paint. Calibration equipment for the ProPilot Assist driver aids will also be added.
If you can’t wait for the next lineup to debut, consider getting a 2018 Nissan Altima 2.5 S. This five-seater is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 179 hp and 177 pound-feet of torque. This year Nissan will become the first Japanese automaker to be honored as a featured marque in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Held at the end of August, over 50 vintage racecars will be competing at the WeatherTech Raceway in California.
In 1936, a supercharged Datsun NL-75 stole the show in Tokyo with the first-ever win for this blossoming brand. This victory ignited a fire of passion and drive to be the best. Even though Nissan Group announced earlier today that there has been a 15% decrease in sales across the United States for July, there seems to be an increase in popularity for specific SUV models.
The new 2018 Nissan Murano SV is one of the crossovers that saw an escalation in popularity. Last month dealerships sold 6,549 of these beauties, showing a 4% bump from the previous summer. This may be due to the fact that this five-seater offers luxury features without the high price tag. Bringing advanced technology at an affordable cost happens to be just what most families want.
The report also noted gains from other vehicles including the Pathfinder and the Titan truck. Both were up by 5%. It’s not surprising to see a surge of buyers investing in these kinds of transports. With school being out of session, moms and dads are looking to take the kids on vacation. The expense of booking flights for large groups can heap on loads of financial stress. Choosing to purchase a 2018 Murano and going on a road trip may prove to be the better decision in the long run.Â
