What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions Pilot shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 1,871 comments on MotorMouth's Pilot videos posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What is new for 2026?

Interior and tech come up in 404 comments, the biggest theme. For 2026 every Pilot gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 37% larger than before, and a 10.2-inch digital driver display, 43% larger, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, according to Honda Canada. The front end has a larger grille, roof rails are now standard, the steering has been retuned and the cabin is quieter. One family switched after a test drive: "After test driving the 2026 Honda Pilot, we honestly loved everything about it, the drive, the interior, the space, just the overall feel of the SUV."

Pair your phone on the test drive and try Google built-in and the new screens before you decide.

02

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 306 comments. Honda Canada lists the 2026 Pilot at $55,550 for the Sport, $58,150 for the EX-L, $61,650 for the TrailSport, $64,900 for the Touring and $66,400 for the Black Edition, with $2,000 for freight and PDI.

Ask for the all-in price with freight and fees, and list the features you want to see which trim includes them.

03

Is the V6 a good choice?

Engine and power come up in 251 comments. Every Canadian Pilot uses a 3.5-litre V6 with 285 hp and 262 lb-ft, a 10-speed automatic and i-VTM4 all-wheel drive, and runs on regular fuel. MotorMouth's review notes describe a comfortable ride, a responsive transmission and good passing power on the highway. A current-generation owner wrote: "The new V6 J35y8 is super sweet. So smooth and refined even compared to many premium and luxury brands. Doing great in my 24 pilot so far."

04

Is it big enough for my family?

Space and seating come up in 136 comments. The Pilot seats seven or eight, and a removable second-row middle seat is available on three Canadian trims. MotorMouth's review notes list third-row legroom of 826 mm (32.5 in) and cargo space of 527 L (18.6 cu ft) behind the third row, 1,373 L (48.5 cu ft) behind the second row and 2,464 L (87.0 cu ft) overall. One owner pointed to the clever seat: "We went with the new pilot black edition. Drives less boat like than others we tried. But the removable 2nd row seat is it's best feature and a great example of how the Honda really shines in practicality and usability"

Bring car seats and try the third row, and ask the dealer to show you how the second-row middle seat comes out.

05
