What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions Grand Cherokee shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 535 comments on MotorMouth's Grand Cherokee videos posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 130 comments on MotorMouth's Grand Cherokee videos. MotorMouth's June 2026 notes list the 2026 Grand Cherokee from $59,890 for the Laredo to $81,890 for the Summit, all with 4x4 and including freight, PDI and fees.

Take this to your test drive

Ask for the all-in price of your exact build in writing.

02

V6 or Hurricane turbo?

Engine and power come up in 118 comments. Only the Laredo and Laredo X keep the 293 hp V6; every other trim has the 324 hp Hurricane turbo four. MotorMouth's notes found the turbo powerful but with turbo lag and an abrupt, lurching throttle at low speed, in both Normal and Sport.

Take this to your test drive

Drive the turbo in stop-and-go traffic and judge the throttle response for yourself.

03

How does it ride?

MotorMouth's test car had Quadra-Lift air suspension with semi-active damping, which felt a bit floaty at times. The steering is quite heavy, but the turning radius is good.

Take this to your test drive

Try a model with and without air suspension if you can.

04

How much fuel does it use?

Fuel economy comes up in 32 comments. MotorMouth's notes give the Hurricane turbo 11.5 L/100 km (20 mpg US) city and 9.2 L/100 km (26 mpg US) highway, and the V6 12.3 L/100 km (19 mpg US) city and 9.2 L/100 km (26 mpg US) highway, on regular fuel.

05

How capable is it off-road?

Ground clearance is 262 mm (10.3 in), or 320 mm (12.6 in) on the Summit, and a full-size spare is standard. Quadra Drive II with an electronic limited-slip differential is available.

Take this to your test drive

Ask which 4x4 system the trim you want uses.

06

How much room is there?

Front legroom is 1,049 mm (41.3 in) and rear legroom 965 mm (38 in). Cargo space is 1,068 L (37.7 cu ft) behind the second row and 2,005 L (70.8 cu ft) overall.

Load what you carry and sit in the back.

07

What is new inside?

For 2026 there is a new available 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger screen and Alpine or McIntosh audio depending on trim, with upholstery from cloth to Palermo leather with massage.

Take this to your test drive

Compare the screens and audio on the trims you are considering.

08

Can it tow, and what is the warranty?

The Grand Cherokee can tow 6,200 lb (2,812 kg), and the warranty is 3 years or 60,000 km (37,282 mi), according to MotorMouth's notes.

Ask what towing package the vehicle includes.
