What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions EV4 shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 442 EV4 comments posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

Can I buy one in Canada?

Yes. Kia Canada opened orders for the front-wheel drive EV4 at dealers across Canada in December 2025, and the 2027 EV4 GT is available now as a factory order at EV-certified Kia dealers. Canadian EV4s are built at Kia's Autoland Gwangmyeong EVO Plant in South Korea. One viewer who shopped the segment wrote: "I ended up getting a Kia EV4 instead. Highly recommend."

Take this to your test drive

Ask which trims and colours are on the lot now, and the delivery time if you need to factory order.

02

Which battery should I choose?

EV questions come up in 102 EV4 comments. The Light trim uses the 58.3 kWh battery with up to 391 km (243 mi) of estimated range; every other trim uses the 81.4 kWh battery, with up to 552 km (343 mi) on the Wind, according to Kia Canada.

Take this to your test drive

Map your longest regular winter trip and pick the battery that covers it with room to spare.

03

How far will it go?

Range depends on the battery and trim. Kia Canada estimates 552 km (343 mi) for the Wind, the longest-range EV4, 515 km (320 mi) for the Wind Premium, 488 km (303 mi) for the GT-Line and GT-Line Limited, and 391 km (243 mi) for the standard-range Light. These match Natural Resources Canada's ratings. Kia Canada's preliminary estimate for the GT is 431 km (268 mi). Like any EV, the EV4 goes less far in cold weather, so plan on less range in a Canadian winter.

Take this to your test drive

Choose the long-range Wind if you drive long distances, and ask whether the trim you want has a heat pump for winter driving.

04

How fast does it charge?

Kia Canada fits every launch-lineup EV4 with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port on the front passenger side, and lists about 29 minutes from 10 to 80% for the standard-range battery and about 31 minutes for the long-range battery. Vehicle-to-load (V2L) is available.

Take this to your test drive

Ask about the adapter for CCS chargers, and price out a home Level 2 charger with your installation.

05

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 83 EV4 comments. Kia Canada lists the 2026 EV4 from $38,995 for the Light FWD to $51,995 for the GT-Line Limited, with the 2027 EV4 GT at $58,595. One viewer summed up the appeal: "Good price, good quality of every parts. Better range. Affordable size."

Take this to your test drive

Ask for the all-in price with freight and fees, and confirm which federal and provincial EV rebates apply to the trim and price you choose.

06

Is it the right size for me?

Space and the rear seat come up in 18 EV4 comments. Kia Canada's releases do not list trunk or interior dimensions, so the best check is in person.

Take this to your test drive

Bring the bags, strollers or sports gear you carry most, and sit in the back seat behind your own driving position.

07

Does the design stand out?

Styling is the biggest theme, discussed in 116 EV4 comments. Kia Canada quotes a drag coefficient as low as 0.23 Cd, and the GT adds 20-inch wheels and neon-accented brake calipers. One viewer wrote: "The door handles are aerodynamic and like on the EV6 they pop out when you approach the car. Easy to get used to. The EV4 is a great looking car."

Take this to your test drive

See it in person, in daylight and in the colour you want, before you decide.

08

How does it drive, and what tech does it have?

Power and the interior come up in 12 and 22 EV4 comments. The front-wheel drive EV4 makes 201 hp, every trim has i-Pedal 3.0 and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the dashboard pairs dual 12.3-inch screens with a five-inch climate display, according to Kia Canada. The 2027 EV4 GT makes 288 hp and 345 lb-ft and adds a head-up display and a GT button on the steering wheel.

Take this to your test drive

Try the i-Pedal one-pedal settings on your test drive, and if the GT interests you, ask whether a demo is available to drive.
