For 2026 Kia Canada sells the Sorento as the Sorento HEV hybrid and the Sorento PHEV plug-in hybrid, each in LX, EX and SX trims; there is no gas-only 2026 Sorento on kia.ca. Both use a 1.6 L turbocharged four-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic and Active On-Demand all-wheel drive. The hybrid makes 227 hp and 258 lb-ft combined, and the plug-in hybrid makes 268 hp and 270 lb-ft with a 13.8 kWh battery and 55 km (34 mi) of electric range. Every 2026 trim seats six and tows up to 2,000 lb (907 kg) when properly equipped. Kia Canada's starting prices run from $46,662 for the Sorento HEV LX to $63,762 for the Sorento PHEV SX, and include fees and levies but not taxes. Both 2026 versions use a 1.6 L turbocharged four-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic and all-wheel drive: 227 hp combined in the hybrid and 268 hp in the plug-in hybrid, according to Kia Canada.
