The LX is Lexus's flagship SUV, a body-on-frame four-wheel-drive model. For 2026 Lexus Canada offers seven configurations across two powertrains: the LX 600 with a 3.4-litre twin-turbo V6 making 409 hp and up to 479 lb-ft, and the LX 700h, a twin-turbo 3.4-litre V6 hybrid with 457 system hp and 583 lb-ft. Both use a 10-speed automatic. The LX 700h is a conventional hybrid that does not plug in. New for 2026 is the LX 700h Luxury grade. Prices run from $124,050 for the LX 600 Premium to $173,255 for the four-seat LX 700h Executive VIP, according to Lexus Canada. Image filenames on the lexus.ca SUVs page are marked 2027, but Lexus Canada has not published 2027 LX pricing yet, so this guide covers the 2026 model. Fuel use is Natural Resources Canada's 2026 rating. Lexus Canada's 2026 release does not list towing, so the towing figure is from its 2025 release and is converted from pounds to kilograms.

What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions LX shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 221 comments about the LX on MotorMouth videos posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 45 comments. Lexus Canada lists the 2026 LX 600 from $124,050 for the Premium to $144,300 for the F SPORT, and the LX 700h from $138,191 for the two-row Overtrail+ to $173,255 for the Executive VIP. The new LX 700h Luxury is $149,835. Lexus Canada's estimated vehicle price for the LX 600 Premium is $127,450, including freight, PDI, the A/C charge and maximum dealer and other fees, before taxes and licence. Lexus Canada has not published 2027 LX pricing yet.

Ask for the all-in price with freight and fees in writing, and confirm whether the vehicle you are offered is a 2026 or a 2027 model.

02

LX 600 or LX 700h hybrid?

Hybrid and electric power come up in 27 comments, and engine and power in 23. The LX 600 has a 3.4-litre twin-turbo V6 with 409 hp and up to 479 lb-ft. The LX 700h adds a hybrid system to a twin-turbo 3.4-litre V6 for 457 system hp and 583 lb-ft, and in low range it uses motor-driven power, according to Lexus Canada. Both use a 10-speed automatic. The LX 700h does not plug in, and its nickel-metal hydride battery sits under the luggage compartment in two-row versions. One viewer asked: "Do ppl who can spend $140k...really care or want a hybrid and to save $ on gass?"

Take this to your test drive

Drive the LX 600 and the LX 700h on the same route, including a highway on-ramp, and notice how each one pulls away from a stop.

03

How much fuel does it use?

Natural Resources Canada rates the 2026 LX 600 at 14.2 L/100 km (17 mpg US) city, 10.8 L/100 km (22 mpg US) highway and 12.7 L/100 km (19 mpg US) combined, and the LX 700h at 12.5 L/100 km (19 mpg US) city, 10.7 L/100 km (22 mpg US) highway and 11.7 L/100 km (20 mpg US) combined. Both are rated on premium fuel. The LX 700h's combined figure matches Lexus Canada's own estimate.

Reset the trip computer at the start of your test drive and include city traffic, where the hybrid's advantage is largest on paper.

04

What tech comes with it?

Interior and tech come up in 31 comments, and the LX's screen layout draws strong views both ways. Every 2026 LX has Lexus Interface with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a voice assistant and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 with Traffic Jam Assist and Intuitive Parking Assist. The LX 600 Luxury adds a 25-speaker Mark Levinson system, massaging front seats and rear-seat entertainment, and the Executive VIP adds rear massage seats, rear VIP climate control and front and rear wireless charging, according to Lexus Canada. One viewer wrote: "I like the three screens. Better resilience and mitigation against single screen failure."

Take this to your test drive

Spend a few minutes using the screens and climate controls while parked, then again while driving, before you decide how you feel about the layout.

05

Which grade is best off-road?

The LX 700h Overtrail+ is the off-road grade. Lexus Canada lists locking differentials, 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, a skid plate and a 120V/2,400W inverter, in a two-row five-seat version at $138,191 or a three-row seven-seat version at $140,286. The LX 600 F SPORT has a limited-slip rear differential, and every LX has four-wheel drive. One viewer asked after the LX 700h review: "Why can't I get the triple differential locking on the other trims?"

Take this to your test drive

If you plan to leave the pavement, drive the Overtrail+ on its all-terrain tires and decide whether you need the third row before choosing a version.

06

How many seats, and can it tow?

Space, cargo and rear seats come up in 8 comments. The LX 600 Premium, the three-row Overtrail+ and the LX 700h Luxury seat seven, the two-row Overtrail+ seats five and the Executive VIP seats four, according to Lexus Canada, which does not state the count for the LX 600 Luxury and F SPORT. Lexus Canada does not publish cargo volume in litres. Its 2025 release rates both the LX 600 and LX 700h to tow up to 8,000 lb (3,629 kg), and every LX has trailer sway control.

Take this to your test drive

Sit in every row you plan to use, bring your largest luggage, and confirm the 2026 towing rating for the exact grade before you hitch up.
