What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions UX shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 587 UX comments posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 93 comments. Lexus Canada lists the 2026 UX 300h at $44,795 for the Premium, $45,865 for the F SPORT Design, $50,259 for the Luxury and $52,534 for the F SPORT 2. Lexus Canada's estimated vehicle price for the Premium is $48,195, including freight, PDI, the A/C charge and maximum dealer and other fees, before taxes and licence. One owner wrote: "Love our UX, great value, best turning radius in class... not everyone needs or wants a three row SUV."

Ask for the all-in price with freight and fees in writing, and compare the Premium and Luxury to see what the bigger screen and extra features cost.

02

How much fuel does it use?

Fuel economy comes up in 50 comments. Natural Resources Canada rates the 2026 UX 300h AWD at 5.3 L/100 km (44 mpg US) city, 5.9 L/100 km (40 mpg US) highway and 5.6 L/100 km (42 mpg US) combined, on regular fuel. It is a self-charging hybrid, so there is nothing to plug in. A UX 300h owner in Central Ontario wrote: "I’m averaging around 5.2 l/100km overall on Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires in Central Ontario."

03

Is it big enough for me?

Space, cargo and rear seats come up in 55 comments, and rear-seat room is the most common concern. Lexus Canada says the 60/40 split rear seats give up to 486 L (17.2 cu ft) of cargo space, with a second storage area under the lifted cargo deck. Many owners say the UX suits singles, couples and city driving best. One shopper who sat in the UX and the NX wrote: "I was surprised how generous the front seats and legroom were. And the ingress and egress was easy."

Sit in the back behind your own driving position, and bring the gear you carry most to test the cargo area.

04

How does it drive?

Engine and power come up in 36 comments. The UX 300h has 196 total system horsepower from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder and two motor-generators, with an electronically controlled CVT with shift-by-wire, according to Lexus Canada. Its small size makes it easy to park, and owners often mention its tight turning circle. One shopper wrote after a test drive: "I drove the Lexus UX300h the other day and loved it. So much fun."

Merge onto a highway to judge the power, and try a tight parking spot to feel the turning circle.

05

Is it ready for winter?

Winter driving and all-wheel drive come up in 27 comments. Every Canadian UX 300h has electronically controlled all-wheel drive. Every grade also has a heated steering wheel and heated and ventilated power front seats, according to Lexus Canada. All grades ride on 18-inch run-flat tires.

Budget for winter tires, and ask the dealer whether run-flat winter tires are recommended for the UX.

06

What tech comes with it?

Interior and tech come up in 84 comments. The Premium and F SPORT Design have an 8-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital cluster and six-speaker audio. The Luxury and F SPORT 2 move to a 12.3-inch touchscreen with embedded navigation, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a head-up display, 10-speaker audio, wireless charging and a digital key. Every grade has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and, new for 2026, 64-colour interior illumination, according to Lexus Canada.

Compare the 8-inch and 12.3-inch screens in person, and pair your phone to try wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

07

Which grade should I choose?

The Premium covers the basics, including Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, heated and ventilated front seats and a moonroof. The F SPORT Design adds F SPORT 18-inch wheels, a mesh grille and bumpers, LED fog and cornering lamps and two-tone black-roof options. The Luxury adds the larger screens, head-up display, driver memory and a kick-sensor power liftgate. The F SPORT 2 combines the F SPORT look with the Luxury technology and NuLuxe F SPORT seats, according to Lexus Canada.

Take this to your test drive

Decide first whether you want the F SPORT look or the standard look, then compare the two grades in that style.

08

Does the design stand out?

Styling comes up in 91 comments. For 2026 Lexus Canada updates the exterior and interior colour choices and adds a new Lapis interior on the Luxury. The F SPORT 2 offers a Circuit Red interior with the Caviar exterior. Some owners describe the UX as more of a hatchback than a crossover. One owner wrote: "It’s a proper small luxury car. Definitely more of a hatchback than crossover."

See it in daylight in the colour you want, and compare a standard grade with an F SPORT side by side.
