The new-generation 2025 Cooper comes as a hardtop or a convertible, in Cooper C, Cooper S and John Cooper Works versions. All are front-wheel drive with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic; the manual is gone. The convertible's automatic soft top opens or closes in 18 seconds at up to 30 km/h (19 mph).
