The impossible was achieved - Remove The Barriers called for 3,000 East Vancouver residents to join us in the fight against traffic calming. We asked for support and signatures alike, hoping our petition would deliver a clear message to the city's policymakers; and our neighbours answered our request, lending their names to the cause.
We now ask for more to join them.
Our petition has passed 3,000 signatures - and now we're hoping for more. With every new name we strengthen our position, proving to city leaders that there is a collective concern over the barriers. The individuals who live, work, and travel in these neighbourhoods are banding together, and this provides a clear message: we are frustrated by measures that offer no value and we demand change.
Let's go for 4,000.
Remove The Barriers encourages any who have not yet signed our petition to do so. Help our cause continue its momentum, sharing your name and your story with us. Our community must continue to push back against traffic calming, with all of us joining together to reclaim our streets.
Your voices heard; your stories acknowledged - it's time to sign.
