Latest Ford News In Penticton BC
Ford’s Bronco has a long, illustrious history at Baja going all the way back to 1967. And now that the all-new 2021 Bronco is soon making its way to dealerships, a prototype race version of the resurrected 4x4 machine made its return to the desert. Just as you'd expect, it made Ford’s engineers proud.

The Bronco R Race Prototype, driven by Cameron Steele, Shelby Hall and a team of veteran off-road racers, finished the 53rd SCORE-International Baja 1000 in Class 2 last week in only 32 hours. The success was a milestone for the pilots and their co-drivers (Johnny Campbell, Curt LeDuc and Jason Scherer), as well as a clear indication of the superiority of the Bronco brand and Ford’s engineering. The race prototype was powered by a stock 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine and Ford 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. It was further bolstered by the “Baja Mode” of the Terrain Management System, which will also be seen on the final production versions.

“When Bronco returned we said it would follow in the legacy of the first-generation Broncos that forever changed the off-road landscape – and today’s finish demonstrates we’re continuing the ‘Built Wild’ pedigree of Bronco,” said Mark Rushbrook, global director, Ford Performance motorsports.

A pre-production 2021 Bronco two-door Outer Banks model also made its first appearance at Baja. That trim and others will become available to consumers early next year.

You’ve heard of “Ford Tough”—in fact, we were just speaking on it in our previous blog—but have you heard of “Ford Smart?” Well, the new 2021 F-150 Hybrid certainly qualifies. It brings not only power but also savvy, intelligent features to the table, and nothing illustrates that better than its max recline seats.

The available max recline seats are class-exclusive and perfect for the job site, camp site, and beyond. They work by eliminating the gap between the cushion and seat back, raising the lower portion of the apparatus to remove that space. This results in a more pleasant experience as you move the seat all the way back into its reclined position; it’s comfy and primed for taking a much-needed nap after a long day. In fact, Ford likens it to a first-class airline experience.

Of course, that’s not all the 2021 F-150 Hybrid has to offer. Performance is still top-of-mind for Ford’s engineers, as is easily evidenced when considering the truck’s 3.5-liter PowerBoost engine. It generates an impressive 430 HP and 570 lb.-ft. of torque.

A hybrid truck built without compromises? Yes, it’s now a reality with the 2021 model year thanks to the fiendishly skilled engineers at Ford. The all-new hybrid F-150 is designed to exceed all your expectations with power and toughness to spare.

The 2021 F-150’s fully hybrid powertrain is the only such setup available in a truck today. That’s impressive on its own but, fortunately, Ford stepped up and ensured this machine has been “built Ford tough,” using the exact same lab tests all other F-150s must complete. No corners have been cut here and, as a result, this vehicle has withstood everything from 100-degree temperatures to salt baths and frozen conditions.

This hybrid F-150 is outfitted with a 1.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. Like everything else with the pickup, it’s been put through its paces to an incredible degree, surviving the equivalent of 10 years of road abuse in just 82 real-time hours.

The 2021 F-150’s Generator Is a Game-changer for Kamloops, BC, Canada

What’s one of the most useful things you can put into a truck that’s built from the ground-up for  getting things done on the job site? Why, an onboard power generator, of course—and that’s exactly what the folks at Ford have made a reality for the 2021 F-150.

That’s right. The F-150 gets even better for the new model year thanks to the Big Blue Oval’s savvy inclusion of the Pro Power Onboard generator. Its base offering supplies a sizable 2.0 kW of electrical capacity, exclusive to the gas-only F-150s. So, what does 2.0 kW get you? Quite a lot! For example, you’ll be able to power an electric heater, speakers, a mini-fridge, and a television, all at once.

There’s more, though. For those looking for some extra “oomph,” there’s the standard configuration exclusive to the hybrid truck models that features an increased 2.4 kW capacity. But for those willing to pony up a few more bucks, there’s a hybrid-exclusive 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard unit with one 240-volt outlet and four 120-volt plugs that can simultaneously charge up a plasma cutter, chop saw, TiG welder, air compressor, and more!

Somehow, Ford’s F-150 just keeps getting better. The preeminent North American pickup is getting an amazing upgrade for the 2021 model year and we wanted you to be among the first to get up to speed with its offerings.

The 2021 F-150 is going high-tech (actually, “even higher tech” might be the most apt phrase). The outgoing SYNC 3 software is being replaced by SYNC 4. That means some incredible things for your driving experience; most notably, voice recognition backed by cloud-based connectivity and the boon of OTA (over-the-air) updates. This will result in a truck that learns and adapts as time marches on.

SYNC 4 isn’t the only trick up the 2021 F-150’s sleeve. There’s now a digital owner’s manual with streamable how-to videos to help explain all the new features. Max recline seats make it far easier to grab a quick nap after a long day. Also, extra security is provided via the available exterior zone lighting.

If you’re itching to get your mitts on the new Bronco but the wait feels tough to bear, Ford’s new online ‘Build & Price’ feature may prove to tide you over for a bit. It’s a fun, interactive way to imagine exactly how your two- or four-door Bronco or Bronco Sport will look when you pick it up in the coming months.

The Bronco ‘Build & Price’ configurator lets you dive into the specifics of each model of Ford’s new, rough-and-tumble 4x4 machine and visualize precisely how your preferred version will appear. Configuration includes the entire collection of options and exterior/interior colors for the Bronco—materials, paint, trim series, and more. In total, hundreds of options culled from nearly 60 years of the company’s color heritage are offered. Plus, pricing information is provided.

“The color and material offerings of the all-new Bronco and Bronco Sport are genuine and trusted, and establish a visceral connection between nature and the authenticity of this new family of rugged SUVs,” said Missy Coolsaet, Bronco color and materials designer. “They motivate our customers to return to the wilderness and challenge themselves – and Bronco takes them there in a carefree, spontaneous way.”

It’s been too long since Ford’s Bronco has roamed the roads of North America—since 1996, in fact. Fortunately for all of us, in recent years the Big Blue Oval Brand has been working away diligently on its successor—and come spring 2021, we’ll have it. The all-new four-door Bronco is set to rock Kamloops and B.C., and we’re confident you’ll find it sensationally appealing.

Built from the ground up for the true enthusiast, the 2021 four-door Bronco features a solid axle rear implementation and coil springs with five locating links. This in tandem with the independent front suspension will gift you superior control of the machine during your jaunts on- and off-road in Kamloops, Penticton, Kelowna, and beyond. Even better, this 4x4 beast includes a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine as standard. This unit will supply a generous 270 horses and 310 lb.-ft of torque; however, if you want to step up to the big time, there will also be an available 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 variant poised to create 310 HP and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.

It’s been more than two decades since the Bronco roamed the roads of North America—and Ford is more than making up for it with the 2021 Sport model arriving in spring of 2021. Aside from looking absolutely incredible, this nimble SUV is built for performance and utility like almost nothing else on the road today.

The 2021 Bronco Sport is dynamic on the roads of Kamloops, Kelowna, and Penticton thanks to its 1.5L three-cylinder engine that pumps out 181 horses. While that results in a responsive drive every time out, prospective owners will also have the option of a 2.0L four-cylinder that generates an impressive 245 HP. While both variants are mated to an eight-speed transmission, you’ll also receive steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters with the latter option.

This SUV will benefit from a 4x4 design with a Rock Crawl mode specifically for tackling off-road challenges that most other vehicles shy away from. Additionally, there are steel bash plates to guard against hazards as your romps take you from the asphalt to the dirt.

Ever see a car and know you have to have it, right off the bat? That seems to be the experience of millions in North America upon Ford's reveal of the all-new 2021 two-door Bronco earlier this year. Set to debut by spring 2021, this machine is a showstopper not just with its rugged good looks but, ultimately, thanks to its mesmerizing promised performance.

This SUV is set to come packed with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that creates a fantastic 270 HP and torque of 310 lb.-ft.—in fact, that latter number is best-in-class! Even better, there's an optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 310 horses and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.

If those mind-melting engine specs weren't enough, you’ll be thrilled to learn that the new 2021 two-door Bronco brings sensational utility features to the table—it’s not just a borrowed, modernized aesthetic from the ’96 Bronco (although that’s nothing to sneeze at). The new iteration boasts an 11.6-inch ground clearance with 33+ inches of water fording. Incredible.

Additionally, this machine comes with a six-speed manual with rev-matching as standard because it doesn’t believe in making compromises.
