First, the upholstery has been switched from cloth to ActiveX for a more athletic vibe. The style of the chairs remains the same, but the front seats are now heated for warmth in the winter.

Next, the infotainment system gets voice-activated navigation. This enables you to find the fastest route to your desired destination without stopping to type in an address. You can also locate gas stations, rest areas, and tourist attractions to make your trip easier and more exciting.

The tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel is warmed and wrapped in leather for a sophisticated look. Paddle shifters have been mounted to the sides to make gear shifts quicker. You can also control the volume on the six-speaker stereo by using the integrated buttons.

Finally, you can see your surroundings before moving from a parking spot thanks to the 360-degree camera. The image is displayed via a split-view on the central touchscreen.

The 2022 Ford Explorer Timberline is a full-size SUV with room for six to seven people depending on the cabin configuration. First is the Class IV Trailer Tow Package. This adds the frame-mounted Class IV receiver hitch to the back of the vehicle. Here, you can hook up an attachment such as a trailer or RV with ease. Wired connections are also provided to ensure that electricity can travel to the attachment’s lighting and braking systems. Plus, an engine oil cooler has been installed to prevent overheating from the added weight. This suite gives the Explorer the ability to haul up to 2,540 kg (5,600 lbs).

Rolling on 18-inch aluminum wheels with a high-gloss black finish and laser-etched Timberline logos, this version of the Explorer also comes with a Terrain Management System. Combined with the Intelligent 4WD mechanism, you may choose between seven selectable drive modes. These include Normal, Deep Snow/Sand, Trail, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Eco, and Sport. You can choose using the dial locate don the centre console.
