If you have been thinking about buying a new 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan, then you get to choose between two trim levels - the SE and the SXT. While both are well-rounded and great for families, there are a few differences that might help you make your final decision.
Â
Each version of the Grand Caravan is powered by a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 and 9-speed automatic transmission. While the output from the motor is the same, the capabilities vary due to a few upgrades on the SXT. It adds active grille shutters that allow optimized airflow into the engine compartment. Also, the suspension systems are different as the top-tier version uses a Touring unit instead of the Normal-Duty mechanism. The result is a slightly more comfortable ride experience from inside the cabin.
Â
On the outside, the SXT replaces the standard 17-inch steel wheels with an aluminum set. It also gets automatic headlights. On the inside, the only major changes are with the added floor mats and seat-back map pockets on the SXT.
Â
The safety components are consistent on both vehicles.
