Sometimes a moment of distraction is all it takes to end up in an accident while driving around BC. To help avoid that outcome, the 2021 Jeep Compass has Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking assist included as standard on the Limited and Trailhawk models (available for other trim levels).
This system employs radar sensors once you're travelling above 10 km/h (5 mph) to detect if your Compass is approaching other traffic too fast. It'll alert you to the upcoming hazard by using visual and audible warnings so you can take evasive actions.
If you're unable to take evasive manoeuvres, the brakes can activate themselves to soften the impact. Not only does this work for other cars, but they'll kick in if you happen to be heading toward guardrails or signposts in BC as well.
