It also knows, however, that the highway too often undermines the best of intentions - and this is why it’s paired the 2020 CX-3 with a series of automated technologies to help ensure safety.
As Cars.com explains, the new CX-3 delivers superior support. Anchoring it is a front collision prevention system, which utilizes laser sensors to detect sudden changes in traffic patterns or the terrain. If a collision proves imminent (and no action is taken by the driver) automatic emergency braking will be applied. Adaptive cruise control assures seamless speeds in stop-and-go conditions, while lane departure tech provides audio warnings when the car begins to drift.Â
To further assure safety. Mazda pairs the CX-3 with an available blind-spot monitor. When combined with the cross-traffic alert program, this enables drivers to better identify concerns - utilizing sensors to scan up to 50 metres. If another vehicle is detected, an icon will flash in the side-view mirror and a series of beeps will occur (providing ample time to adjust trajectory).
