Live bait is successful bait.

Sport fishermen trying to chase Marlins, Mackerels and more understand the importance of live bait. It tempts even the most elusive fish, leading them away from their hiding spots and onto a hook.

Trying to keep bait in top form while on a Los Suenos charter ship, however, can prove difficult without the proper conditions.

Be certain to use wells with good circulation while fishing in Los Suenos, keeping the bait breathing normally and responsive. Rely on cold water instead of warm since it conducts oxygen more efficiently, and monitor temperatures carefully throughout the trip. Heat is to be combatted immediately. 

If a non-circulating system is all that’s available remember to clean the well every few hours, replacing the water and removing any excess film along the top. This will compensate for the aeration and keep bait primed for spooling.

Sport fishing requires more than rods and reels. Live bait is instead needed to secure the perfect catch every season. Keep it healthy and hearty until it's time to cast.
