Within the brackish waters of Los Suenos swims the Black Drum. This is a fierce little fish, with sharp teeth and strong fins. It moves along the surface, its dark coloring shielding it from sight and its powerful jaws snatching prey. It’s a favorite of small-game anglers.

The Black Drum is a compact breed, averaging only 15 pounds. It’s the strongest of the Drum family, however, and requires medium-grade tackle to subdue.
