INFINITI Features Glossary For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
Have you ever read a list of vehicle specifications and wondered what on earth some of them meant? Even ones you understood might have left you scratching your head because you questioned how the technology worked. Learning more about cars is a fascinating pursuit, hence the purpose of this column.

Many new vehicles are moving away from a traditional gear shifter in favor of a knob. Some
INFINITI automobiles, like the 2019 QX60, include this new feature. Handsomely trimmed in leather, you’ll get a bit of a sporty thrill every time you change gears using this handy device.

Ever wondered why the change from levers to knob shifters? This new technology allows you to switch gears with just a quick movement of your finger or flick of the wrist. According to experts, not only does the new design open up a tremendous amount of space in the front of the automobile, but it takes fuller advantage of electronic shifting, a more recent innovation that provides drivers with a superior experience.

Stop by
INFINITI of Tacoma the next time you’re in the Kent, Washington, area and take the 2019 QX60 out for a test drive. You’re sure to love its new technologies!

Now available in the 2019
INFINITI QX60 (and other models), the ECO Pedal is specially designed to provide drivers with more fuel efficient commuting. When engaged, the system works by intuitively counteracting compression through a push-back control mechanism.

Each time the operator exerts excess pressure on the acceleration treadle, the tactile indicator prevents engine revving through offset-
dampering. This reverse action helps to minimize fuel consumption during both start and acceleration.

Simultaneously, motorists will also be notified of their enviro-friendly travel through a visible indicator displayed on the information dash. Here, the assigned lamp will showcase not only when the function is “on” but also the level of conservation.

According to Nissan Global, studies show that the EP contributes to a 5-10% increase in economy in most conditions. Considering the QX60 runs on a 295 HP 3.5-liter V6, while still earning up to 20 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway, we’d say the technology works.
