Auto terminology can be confusing, and it’s all too easy to get caught up in a number of words you don’t understand. This distracts from the important decision-making process of buying a new car! We’re here to talk through some of these puzzling descriptions and offer clear, concise explanations.
Take, for instance, the tachometer. This is a term you’ve probably heard before. In fact, you are likely very familiar with the word. But do you know what it means?
By definition, a tachometer is “an instrument measuring the rotation speed of a shaft or disk, as in a motor or other machine. The device usually displays the revolutions per minute (RPM) on a calibrated analog dial, but digital versions are increasingly common.â€
On your INFINITI QX30, the tachometer can be found conveniently on the dashboard, just above the steering wheel. Though this measurement isn’t something you will often need to pay attention to, it’s a good indicator of the vehicle’s health. If the numbers displayed on your device suddenly seem drastically different, it may be time to service the car.
Stop by INFINITI of Tacoma today and test drive the fabulous 2018 QX30. This wonderful vehicle comes complete with many amazing features and is very popular, so hurry in!
