Those eager to get behind the wheel of the 2019 INFINITI QX50 — the luxury brand’s most advanced vehicle to ever hit the roads — will truly be spoiled for choice with three well-equipped grade levels to select from. To further impress, each option of this premium mid-sized crossover is also available in either front- or all-wheel-drive.

Meanwhile, the interior is amplified with leather-appointed seating and tri-zone automatic climate controls to ensure the comfort of all occupants.

Between its proprietary VC-Turbo engine and advanced ProPilot Assistance technologies, you’re probably wondering what more we could possibly say about the 2019 INFINITI QX50. The answer is a lot. Not the least of which is its enhanced connectivity capacities.
Technology junkies will love the ability to sync their QX50 to their Amazon Alexa through the automaker’s InTouch Services. While we’ve all heard about what’s under the hood of the 2019 INFINITI QX50 — that is, the world’s first production-ready variable compression ratio engine — can we please turn the attention to its stunning exterior for a second?
Evocative of the luxury brand’s “Powerful Elegance†design language, the profile of the all-new QX50 showcases flowing muscular lines and wide-stance athletic proportions. Impressively, the entire cabin has been moved forward in this latest model rendition to create an extended body character line. Specially designed to complement and enhance a driver’s own natural abilities, the 2019 INFINITI QX50 features a full suite of Assistance Technologies that are sure to inspire confidence.
For starters, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection capabilities utilizes a series of radars and sensors on the body to monitor surroundings. To avoid frontal collisions, the system will provide both warnings and interventions.
Meanwhile, Advanced Intelligent Cruise Control is perfect for taking the pressure off of your highway commuting or long-haul road trip. Without any additional operator inputs, the CPU can automatically change the preset speed in order to adapt to the traffic ahead. If needed, the vehicle will also decelerate and can even come to a complete stop or hold.
To further impress, the Head-Up Display unit seamlessly projects all critical details on the lower windshield so that motorists do not have to adjust their line of vision or take their eyes off the road. Requiring only a subtle 4-degree cranial shift, one can see all vital information while staying engaged in the task at hand.

The secret is out. By now, we have all heard about the 2019 INFINITI QX50 and its world’s-first production ready variable compression ratio engine. However, while that mouthful of words certainly does sound fancy, it’s nice to understand what it means.
For starters, this advanced powertrain utilizes what the luxury brand’s automakers call the “Harmonic Drive†— a reduction gear that rotates in order to adjust the height of the piston’s stroke according to the CR required.
Meanwhile, Electronic Valve Timing enables the machine to switch back and forth amid Atkinson and regular combustion cycles. Where the former mode is designed to provide greater efficiency, the latter is focused on power density. The ability to seamlessly transition between the two is part of what makes the VC-Turbo so special.
With two types of fuel injection — multi-point and direct — the continuously transforming motor instantaneously adapts and delivers based on driver inputs to balance both economy and performance. Thanks to this innovative mechanism, the QX50 can easily produce up to 268 HP with 288 lb-ft of torque, while still earning 24 MPG in the city and an impressive 31 mpg on the highway.

It’s the brand’s most advanced vehicle to ever hit the roads, and we’re not just talking about the proprietary compression ratio engine that’s under its hood. The 2019 INFINITI QX50 offers occupants a state-of-the-art four-monitor spread for quick-and-easy access to information while on the move.
An innovative Heads-Up Display in the operator's line of vision allows them to keep their attention on the task at hand. By employing a projector system that streams directly to a nine-inch area on the windshield, valuable data is presented to the motorist in color.
Meanwhile, the center console features an additional two touchscreens. The 8.0-inch upper unit offers details such as navigation instructions and system messages primarily for the benefit of whoever happens to be behind the wheel. A separate 7.0-inch intuitive lower segment provides even more supplementary functions and entertainment applications — from climate control to Bluetooth connectivity.Â
A fourth and final instrument gauge lives between the speedometer and tachometer, offering vital facts intended for the driver. Here, one can find key statistics such as speed, safety communications, and warnings. This device also presents a real-time report on the VC-Turbo motor’s transforming power output and efficiency.

If you have ever seen inside the all-new 2019 INFINITI QX50, then you have already had the pleasure of experiencing the future of automotive interiors. The proprietary CUV offers a sneak peek at the forthcoming infotainment system that Nissan's luxury brand plans to roll out by 2021.
Sharing the same outward appearance as the aforementioned upscale crossover, as well as the current Q50, the new console will receive a total overhaul of the backend processes. With an aim to improve storage capacity, reaction times, and the HD quality, the CPU will offer even more in-cabin connectivity.Â
Not only will the future dash feature bigger monitors — think, 12 to 15 inches — but additional upgrades will include the maker's first ever 9-inch color head-up display on the windshield. Already available in the new QX50, this innovation negates the need for drivers to avert their attention off the road.
To further impress, smartphone mirroring will essentially put the control in the palm of your hand. You will easily be able to use your device as not only a remote but as the source of your in-car entertainment, should you so choose.Â
Consumers can expect to see these massive shifts roll out over the next few years. Want to learn more? Contact our dealership today.
