Last week, we announced exciting pricing news about the upcoming release of the 2019 Nissan Leaf all-electric plug-in vehicle and since then some customers have inquired about the availability of a Leaf E-Plus. Right now, details remain thin about this longer-range EV, but there have been some recent reports that have divulged a few details, which we are happy to share with you.Â

According to The Torque Report, the 2019 Leaf E-Plus will not only offer a longer range, but generate more power as well. Right now, the regular Leaf delivers a range of 150 miles, but the E-Plus variant will jump to 225 miles. It will also build upon the current EVâ€™s 147 horsepower electric motor to output 200 horsepower with the Leaf E-Plus. An upgraded 60 kWh battery is also expected, which is an improvement from the Leafâ€™s 40 kWh battery, which will enable the vehicle to better manage its energy stores and traveller longer distances.

Again, details about the 2019 Leaf E-Plus remain minimal for now. As more information is released, weâ€™ll be sure to share it on our blog.
