Standard cruise control is great but when itâ€™s adaptive it becomes not only a convenience but also a safety measure. This feature in the 2018 Altima 2.5 S automatically senses any cars traveling ahead and slows you down to compensate for their speed changes. Beyond this, the sedan also offers forward collision alerts that give an audible beep whenever you draw too close to another automobile, as well as a rearview camera. This latter item gives a live video look on your center display that shows everything to the back of your ride as you go in reverse.

And hey, what about the motor? Well, â€œArtofSpeeddâ€ only has good things to say. The 2.5L four-cylinder engine supplies 179 horses and 177-lb.-ft. of torque. You can enjoy comfort and performance and still be a steward of the environment. Nissan has undoubtedly proven this with the 2017 Nissan LEAF SV, which â€œJack Cuthillâ€ takes for a spin in his video review below. He comes away wildly impressed with its capability and range of technologies.

The LEAF has always had an incredible powertrain to work with and the 2017 model does not disappoint in this regard. The car is boosted along by an 80 kW motor and a 360-volt lithium-ion battery that allow it to achieve a total of 107 HP and 187-lb.-ft. of torque. Thatâ€™s plenty speedy, but youâ€™ll understandably be curious about driving range. Fortunately, this hatchback comes through there, too, by delivering a total of 100 miles on a single charge.

Nissan didnâ€™t cut corners with the interior of this ride, either. Youâ€™re getting hooked up with some wonderful features, including front heated seats that chase away chilliness in the fall and winter. Additionally, SIRIUS-enabled AM/FM/HD satellite radio offers a wealth of entertainment possibilities, while the navigation system always keeps you on the correct path.
