The 2015 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X is an old-school mid-size pickup thatâ€™s all about getting stuff done. Itâ€™s tough, capable, and enhanced by a number of technologies that work to make it a wonderful utility vehicle. â€œChristian Moeâ€ has the verdict in his video walkthrough below.

There are many systems that make this Frontier special, but weâ€™ll focus on several that enable the truck to easily handle off-road conditions. Naturally, four-wheel drive is available here, but thereâ€™s so much more, including Hill Start Assist. This system operates in the background. Whenever youâ€™re stopped on an incline and release the brake, it holds the truck in place for several seconds, ensuring that rear rolling doesnâ€™t occur. This happens regardless of whether youâ€™re currently set in 2WD or 4WD modes.

Thereâ€™s also a brake-based limited slip system, which is standard on all Frontiers including the PRO-4X. It manages the transfer of torque between wheels. Additionally, electronic locking rear differential is offered. When the driver engages it via the center stack button, it equally distributes power between each rear tire. Smart!
